  1. May 3, 2004 Malibu, CA Will “I have a question for you,” I said to Jake. We were in the Escalade limo, heading up to see Travis’s mother and Big. He’d been gazing out the window, so my words had refocused his attention on me, Travis and my father. “Were the cameras and sound equipment operating in Curtis Buck’s office when you were there and when he was killed?” “No,” Jake said firmly. “I disabled the security systems.” “I guess that means Big doesn’t know you wer

    Chapter 104

The insurance policy is in an ILIT (insurance trust). They're used to pay estate taxes. He would have gifted the money to pay the premiums to Taylor and Big, then those two would have re-directed those premiums to the life insurance policy. Then when Curtis dies, the death benefit goes to Taylor and Big tax-free. This is a common tool wealthy people use to pay estate taxes, because if they just bought a life insurance policy, the death benefit would make their estate even larger, and a bunch of that money would be taxed away.
  3. That was a really insightful post. I’d never seen the challenges of being gay in the South summed up so succinctly.
  4. And one that Tim hates for many reasons, not the least of which is his promiscuity. 😃

At the very least, that would make them more susceptible to bribery.
  6. Oh I get it. In order to truly enter a slut phase, one must travel to the colonies. Such errant behaviour is almost unheard of in the mother country. 😀
  7. This is one of the best posts I’ve seen on GA. 💕

    Chapter 104

That’s Kansas or Nebraska. I celebrated the new year at the airport. My flight got in at 11pm.

    Chapter 104

I think that Will really has no risk in this situation. The only people who have their asses hanging out, exposed, are Zach and Taylor, and to a lesser degree, Travis. I mean, there could be other issues that impact the others (if it got out, how the transfer of money was handled, etc.), but nothing worthy of jail time.

    Chapter 104

Money is power. I'm sure they'll dream up entirely credible reasons for the different guns, and any other details that come up.

    Chapter 104

May 2, 2004 Malibu, CA Will We sat in the great room of Darius’s house. He wasn’t really into decorating, so it pretty much looked the same as it did when my mother lived here, with a large cushy sectional sofa dominating the room. I’d have to mention that to Stef and thus unleash a maelstrom on Darius, I pondered mischievously. I found being in this house disturbing, which is probably why I didn’t come over here much. In fact, the only reason I did was to use the gym, because

    Chapter 103

You're right, I did use him as Zach's career model, so I guess it stands to reason he would have a similar physique.

    Chapter 103

That sounds about right. I mentioned a couple of chapters back that Travis’s waist is an inch bigger than Will’s.

    Chapter 103

May 1, 2004 Malibu, CA Will “I smell food,” I said in confusion. “Bacon,” Travis said, as we walked down the stairs. “I guess Jake decided to cook?” “I guess,” I said skeptically. We walked into the kitchen and I saw Consuela flipping bacon on the stove. She was one of the assistant cooks at Escorial. They must have shipped her down here to help out. “Hola!” She turned around and smiled at me. “Hola, Mr. Will!” “It is good to see you, Senora Gutierr

    Chapter 102

I think it’s more that he was at Escorial before he chased Jake down to Malibu, so he probably knew what they were thinking.

    Chapter 102

April 28, 2004 Malibu, CA Will “Curtis Buck is dead,” I mused. “Good fucking riddance.” The man was a blot on society, an awful and evil person. There was no sadness in my heart, only relief. “How did he die?” my father asked. His comment brought me out of my own introspective thoughts and focused me on the others in the room. Travis was completely stone-faced, which didn’t surprise me, because he had mastered hiding his emotions. I couldn’t get a sense for what he wa
