September 3, 2004 Stanford University Hospital Palo Alto, CA Brad “I could have just met you,” Jack said, as I escorted him out the door. “I wanted to show off my new car,” I said. I was kind of joking, but not really: this thing was cool. He stopped and stared at the vehicle in front of him. “What’s so special about this? Looks like the typical Cadillac Escalade limo,” he said. “Ah, but you haven’t been in

You did a really great job with the soundtrack

This is hilarious. 😂😂

I don't this is entirely accurate. Brad basically forced JJ to get help from a psychiatrist and from a psychologist. He knows JJ wants to largely be left to his own devices, and so he does that more or less. As for Will, he knows JJ, flaws and all, but he isn't willing to put up with JJ's bullshit. He also sees it as his job to call JJ on it when he's being an ass. He and Darius will do the same thing for each other, and for JJ.

August 31, 2004 Escorial Palo Alto, CA Brad I strode confidently into our room and got a surprised look from Jake. “You’re home early,” he said. He stood up and gave me a nice kiss. “I’m going riding with Claire,” I said. He stared at me, waiting for me to explain. “She called me and asked me to hang out with her, and that’s what we decided to do.” “What’s that about?” he asked. “I don’t know,” I answered

If St. Vincent said nothing, and as you noted, word got out about it, it would probably be more damaging to all of them. This way, it’s stomped out and Chalmers fate is a cautionary note to others.

September 7, 1801 Weymouth, England “The Right Honorable Earl of Brentwood, Captain Francis Calvert,” the chamberlain boomed as they entered the room His Britannic Majesty King George III had adopted as his reception chamber. It was dowdy and unimpressive, which Granger had expected. The King did not seem overly concerned with the opulence of his homes under normal circumstances, so it was no surprise that he would be even less bothered about holiday lodgings. He pondered how

August 16, 2004 Tribeca, NY Brad “Mr. Jeremy will be out shortly,” Jacinta said politely. “Can I get you something to drink?” “A gin and tonic, please,” I said, then walked into the great room. “I would have thought he’d be expecting us.” I detested it when people were late for meetings, and this was similar. “He must be busy,” Stef said, stifling a giggle. I gave him an unpleasant look, since despite sleeping on the plane, I was

What a loss! 🤥 He was someone I could (and did) reach out to when I needed writing advice, and always a true gentleman. He will be missed.- 169 comments

More like the mid 60s.

September 4, 1801 Cowes, England Granger had had a wonderful night with Calvert, followed by an equally wonderful breakfast, but his thoughts about Chalmers had plagued him. He did not want to cause tension between them, because he and Calvert had bonded now, and that meant they’d largely dealt with the irritations that had chafed as they’d reunited, but this was important. He frowned, and that got a concerned look from Calvert. “Is something wrong?” Calvert asked, becau

August 16, 2004 Marousi, Greece Will “Good morning,” Jake said pleasantly, as he walked into the dining room where our group was eating breakfast. He tossed two badges on the table, one for Marie and one for Travis. “They agreed to your deal.” “Awesome,” I said, chuckling. “Thanks,” Travis said. “It would have been even cooler if you wouldn’t have had to pay for them with a black eye.” My eye had swollen up last night and then th

That’s great! I have to say, though, that it’s been fun watching you trek through the saga

August 15, 2004 Marousi, Greece Will I was heading back to the apartment smiling because I was enjoying the beautiful weather, and because I was still on a post-orgasm high from my encounter with Paul the gymnast. I was walking through a park when I felt something smash into my head. “You fuckhead! Now that you’re not at the pool, let’s see how fucking tough you are,” I heard Gillis say. I staggered forward, and started running, even as I gr

😂 You so did not offend me.

I’ve written dark (think 1968), but I don’t think this is like that. I thought it was a bonding purge.

So true. It’s hard to overcome entrenched forces.

It was abundant and also easy to work with.
