“I hope we didn’t screw up all your plans for this trip,” Marie said sympathetically. She’d called me last night and told me that Bongo and his girlfriend, plus Mike and a friend were coming along. John had also latched onto some new girl at Menlo named Brittany, and he was bringing her with him. With those people in addition to me, Travis, Crawford, Sierra, Marie, Ryan, and John, we were tapping out on rooms.
“It’s fine,” I said.
Sex as recreation cheapens the act: You are generalizing here.
and becoming unable to curb your libido costs relationships: That's not a libido issue, it's a relationship issue..meaning how the relationship handles sex drive issues and libido size.
It is the chief cause most relationships end: Silly Republican, everyone knows that the leading cause of breakups is money. 😀
I have some good news and some bad news for you all. The bad news first. There probably won't be a chapter update for at least six weeks, probably two months. The good news? I'm putting off writing more until I get back from vacation. I'm going to England this summer, and even plan to spend some time in Portsmouth seeing the HMS Victory. That should inspire me.
I almost think it would be hard to change the minds of those who like Zach because he hasn't really changed. What he did to Travis is basically the same thing he did to the dentist in Claremont.
Zach is more complex than that, and as I mentioned above, I don't think he's changed all that much.
In case you're curious, most of the chapters in this story were about 5000 words long. If you look at the word counts for the revised chapters, you can tell which ones have changed the most by looking at the higher word counts.
There were times over the past few months where I wanted to be productive, but I didn't feel overly creative, or at least creative enough to write new chapters. So to occupy my time, and with amazing help of @impunity, I've been working to re-edit and in some cases, re-write Man In Motion. The edits were significant enough to take the word count from 147,000 to 185,000. If you do take the time to re-read it, let me know what you think.
Since I'm not publishing this as a new book (I'm editing), it may be difficult to tell which chapters have been revamped. Here's the key: If a chapter has a name, it's new. For example, Chapter 1 was originally Chapter 1 (duh), but now it's titled "Super Bowl".
I hope you enjoy the changes!

I tooled down the freeway in Zach’s new SUV, relieved that there was minimal traffic. My quick stop at the car dealer ended up taking an hour, which annoyed the fuck out of me, but I expected no less from those cretins. The automotive industry was so fucking strange. On the one hand, cars were cool, and getting a new one was hella fun. On the other hand, dealing with car dealers and their bullshit damn near ruined the whole experience
