Hey Maarten. While it can be distracting, sometimes these peripheral characters become less peripheral, and sometimes it's important to just close up some loops. I completely agree with you on Will (you used his name?!) and his reaction, but he doesn't carry a grudge like JJ does. Will can go postal on someone, but when the battle is over, he can move on. JJ is a little more bitter than that.

I'm going on the assumption that Ryan knew about Will and Zach. Will would consider Ryan to be a close friend, even if they haven't talked much lately.

I posted the latest chapter pretty quickly, and I'll try to turn the next one out quickly as well. I wrote them and didn't really realize that they were both reasonably stout cliffhangers, so I'll try to atone for that. -
That's true about JJ. It's usually not a good idea to go for the jugular unless you know whose jugular you're going for.

I think that JJ is almost incapable of letting this go without at least putting up a fight. One could almost visualize this (speaking in an analogy, of course) as JJ deciding that he's going to get in a punch or two, even if he ends up getting his ass kicked.

Thanks for the great review. I think that Jeff's casual way of dropping that on Ryan was so typical of Jeff, and based on Ryan's no-emotion attitude, it probably worked like a charm. I agree that JJ can be as ruthless, but he's not a smart and he's not as good at planning. Doesn't mean he can't raise some hell. ;-)

JJ probably has the ability to be even more ruthless, since he isn't quite as caring as Will. Once you're on his shit list...watch out.

July 27, 2003 Fly-Over Country, USA Will I had to almost physically restrain myself; I was so keyed up, as if I could will the plane to go faster.
