  1. Great story CJ, the chapter had some good tension and some well-deserved string pulling from a certain general. By the way, I have a knack for guessing at pivotal plot devices and I think (spoilers):
  2. Well as long as you don't break Chase and Brandon up, the fans will not kill you
  3. Well with only six chapter to go for let the music play, I just wanted to get this idea up into the open. I love your story CJ, it is fun with technical details that are very interesting and sexual details that make me feel like I want to be a rock star. The evolution of Brandon, Chase, Eric, Jon, and Helen as characters has been some of the finest. I would love to hear more about Instinct and their next tour, maybe have more interesting things happening; like some new villainous characters with plans of global domination, some more fun in the sun or the cold, and a lot of development for brandon and chase. If not a true sequel here are three ideas to ponder from my list of possible spin-offs: A shot of Tequilla- What happened Eric?- The band mates go in search of their missing bassist after a night of wild partying, only to find a mystery, some sexy adventures on the way, and mysterious forces working aginst them. Brandon Wolfe- Secret Agent- Well, it is possible, since Brandon has a good working knowledge of fire-arms, street fighting, and engineering applications. He also has a knack for flying and a pretty clever mind that works instinctually (hehe). A rockstar by day and an agent for the CIA on the side surveying the hotspots remaining undercover with his bandmates. That idea tops the Hanna Montana concept by a light year. Helen Rocks-I think that Helen has more than one group of Rockers in her arsenal and maybe we can look into another group of young up and coming Rockers. We can get into band formation process that was never looked at in the beginning of the story and continue on with cameos from Instinct and even The Shadows. Other ideas-Self explanatory, any one has any fun spin-off ideas or sequel ideas that could be fun. I know CJ this thread may be a bit early, but I just hope you story does not end so soon. It has been fun and really awesome.
  4. I just caught up with the story and I have to agree you got some nice cliffies there C.J. You write a story like a Grisham novel meets Hollywood's "Sex, Scandal, and videotape" with a lot of intrigue, character build-up, and fun. Can't wait to read the next 6 chapters. Also, shame on you for creating that allusion of "lost to the world" to cause such great fear that our heroes would die, hehe. Thank you for the great story.
  5. I guess, I should have come here first, haha. I got into GA from reading dkstories's Do-Over series in the last few months. They drew me deeper and deeper into gay fiction, so I guess you guys sort of seduced me, ha!. By the way, I am writer as well, but I have not been able to write for the last 3 years anything concrete. I was a published short story and poetry writer back in high school. Recently, I have started to get into reading and my mind has started racing again, so I might eventually post some stories up.
  6. You have an interesting topic and I agree there is much in degrees of environment and triggers for personal depression. 1. I would think there are certain conditional differences among gay or straight people, but this idea is simply a notion without statistically proven facts. I think depression can affect you in many ways even positively if you can get through it. 2. It is not really a matter of weaknesses or resistance in certain levels that make gay people more prone to depression. Societal affects do come back to haunt people, who are gay, versus people, who are straight, more in some degrees. The key reasoning may be the antagonism that society gives to gay people as they grow up and a feeling of isolation that is onset through such notions. Sociology and psychology come hand in hand, when you look at how attitudes develop that influence depression. There is a reason behing the large amounts of gay teens committing suicide versus straight teens over the years. 3. I do not know if it is easier to accompany or assist anyone with depression. It is a mindset that is not easily borken out of without some internal desire through the depressed person. On a personal note, I have been depressed recently due to a multitude of factors concerning choices that I made in my life so far. Being as young as I am, I made certain life changing choices that I already know has affected me in many ways. Being gay was not a choice, but trying to hide it, reproach it, and even subdue it were choices that I tried to force on myself. Things are not simply black and white in our world, Depression is something that leads to greater sadness if not controlled, but it is also something that I believe gives a good reflection on you as a person if you can confront the reasons why you are depressed and have support for it.
