Poor CJ, he gets blamed for everything. "Dance with the Devil", hmmm, something evil or is it something compromising? If Brandon is killed, then readers will be flocking into the story in droves just due to shock!!! Killing a popular character is against writing convention, so it will not happen. Don't worry guys, he can't die! Now something about Eric and Tequila gets me thinking there is going to be something happening at the party; I think the Bikers and wild Eric will get along just fine. Without inhibition, just partying for the thrill of partying is a cornerstone of bikers at least as far as I know. Things will be happening next chapter.

Now to answer an immortal question: How do you get people to respect you and treat you as an equal? There has been no good answers. There is one very scary answer, which most authors would not want to approach without care: Power. Either through fear, manipulation, a combination of influences, or personal will are the only things that have been proven to establish long term equality. How can the gay characters gain acceptance and Eric, who is scared straight, do that without compromising their integrity? A social populism like that the Beatles enjoyed may work in combination with another person or organization with focus to establish it into an ideal.

I agree it might just be seasonal and people have been busy with school and other projects. But CJ with your return, the King is in the building and we can be pretty sure to keep an eye on sharp cliff like ledges. It is your story and baby, you write well and I cannot wait for the next chapter.

I like this chapter, it felt like things are coming into play and the Keith/Jansen/Eric storyline is getting interesting; perhaps a little Tequila will help move it along. Glad to see the Bikers helped out and it was the perfect solution in that situation. Do I detect a theme of challenging authority from you CJ? HAHA! Not Surprising! Well, with one of the largest television audience in the US (Don't know why anymore?) American Idol is a cultural phenomenon. This reaction could be fun to watch among his fans and it should be fun to watch what the american audience's feelings are. Now, James Blunt, I'll give that out for a Jury. Well, 30 years of world wide industrial growth and 60 years of relative peace between major nations after Hitler! I think destruction can be good as well as evil depending on your moment in time. Creation in hitler's case was evil, since he wanted to create a world that eliminated all those that he felt were under-developed to create his new world order. Points of history change the perspective of good and evil. However, in its entirety, good and evil become background noise to a complex dynamic, which represents existence. The absolutist definition of good and evil can not exist, but a relative definition of good and evil could with a certain relative movement.

A God of great compassion and great destruction has been interesting in dichotomy of Abrahamic religions, but the question really should be to look for a common or real perceived good and evil. What is ultimately Good or Evil depends on many things beyond a single perspective or point in time. If taken together the collective history of the universe, then there are no absolute forms of pure good or pure evil, but if you take a singular point in time, then there are forces of creation and destruction that constitutes good and evil.

It is logical observation, sadly! :( In our modern world sex is cheap and very lacking for both worlds not just straight. My generation could attest that the freedom and sexual allowances has left something empty in its wake. Promiscuity is still high, but I wonder at what time will it hit people that a one night stand is never fulfilling in the long run. Sex is an open interpretation, but love is something indefinable. I would be happy as a human being to know that Eric finds some one he loves, whether it is a boy or girl. As a reader, I would rather have him choose to be with a boy, with Cody at the top of the list. Is that kind of bad to add pressure upon the writer to make such a choice? Perhaps. Opening that line of logic brings me to a chilling idea, by conferring our own sexuality upon characters in stories are we no different than other who wish for us to conform to their sexuality in reality..... Deep huh?

I love the easter egg you gave the fans CJ, but please have Cody show up unexpectedly for real, pretty please! Eric needs some one stable and hopefully its a nice cute boy. By the way,

Actually, it is not impossible with today's prosthetic limbs and plastic surgery to reconstruct scar into anyone. It would be a funny twist if Scar is some one newly introduced into the mix. The manager of the strip club, a contact of the mercs, or some one brand new. We know the guy loves disguises so why not? Beware!

Good Chapter CJ and love the build up as always, you got an interesting rescue storyline building up.

CJ! I get the feeling that Eric's sexuality will not be so easily resolved. He keeps saying he is not gay, so I think he will need to find that special guy through a unique means. I have not seen Shady around for a while, maybe he was kidnapped by the a mysterious goat to his mountain cave hideaway, so he could not unite the lovers together. Poor Shady!

So the "Shady one" has made a guest appearance, haha! CJ excellent chapter and I love the plot line for the General so far too. You are the only author I know so far that has mixed Rock and Roll with international intrigue, Bravo! I hope Jensen and Keither (I saw that are you hinting at a Jack Bauer situation! ) know what they are getting into.

True tiger! Don't worry, I made three speculations on how the story will go, my personal guess is that the first speculation is more likely as a drawn out plot arc is more CJ's style. My latter two would be a departure from his style, but possible in different circumstances. Now my other more immediate concern is with the island itself!

I think goat kebabs are better over a roaring fire, but I don't want CJ to be a sacrificial goat, nahhhhhhh! So far, we have only gotten a little lamb from the story, the goat must be coming soon or it could be a T-Rex (Jurassic park moment) size plot in development.

Oh the plot thickens, You got something up your sleeves don't you CJ! This was a superb chapter with action and suspense from a dramatic nature. It is so fun!
