Happy Birthday! hmm...does that mean you'll do beer runs, soon?

Born in 87, so I'm even more likely to be stuck in the 90's than you guys, who get to pick between 80's and 90's. I remember Nick, the old WB, and Fox kids cartoon line up from 2-5PM. (Before I learned to love reading, I was raised by the TV ) You just reminded me of Kenan's french interpretation in the bath tub scenes from All That, hehe! I wonder if he could do a reunion show with Kel. "Who loves Orange Soda?" I wonder what happened to all the other cast members, how many of them flopped and how many saw huge roles?

Lol ! viva 90's Nick! Where's a good burger, when you need it! (They had so many good ones and the comedy was pitch perfect satire. It was like SNL for kids.)

Does it help my cause if the 24th is my birthday I am open to any of the dates, it will be good to see everyone right before I turn a quarter of a century. (man saying that makes me feel old)

I just got an interesting idea, while writing, but not sure if it really exists. Characters come in many forms, shapes, and sizes. It is up to the writers to create them and make them as their own. One dimensional characters don't have any depth or explanation into why they act. Two dimensional characters act out of a shallow desire for something grandiose, like world conquest or world peace without further explanation. Three dimensional characters act out of a series of emotions/experience, his own or others, through stories to create their choices. Four dimensional characters act out of their desires and cumulative choices over the past, present, and even possible future that may unfold in your story. Then, how about writing beyond a four dimensional character? I am writing right something I think is unique in gay fiction and maybe in mainstream fiction, but I don't know if it exist for context, a character who acts out on his own emotions and others around him with growth that takes the span beyond just one lifetime, it is based on many lifetimes and not always based on the same person's morality, though their ideals and conscious efforts are part of it. In effect, the character is what I would call a "living memory". It is something less than omniscient but more than four dimensional. Some of you guys who read my stories through the last year or so know I have been working on the concept of thought, perception, and memory in my stories more intensely. I think in concept, it is an evolution of the four dimensional characters. Any ideas, thoughts, or even some one with a context? _________________ PS: Don't debate the science of extra-dimensions, physicists have been fighting each other over it. Supposedly, there is nothing beyond spacetime 4 dimensional construct in the standard model, but with recent twists in quantum physics, the model is already in trouble.

OMG! I can't believe she's gone, her voice was powerful and inspirational: Rest in Peace Whitney, your voice will live on.

Small screen definitely Do-Over by DK (Not sure why no one has ever offered you TV producer rights, you're practically next door DK ), but big screen, it's harder. Most of the authors I like are long series writers, which is hard to break into a movie without compromising the characters and plot. Graeme is probably the closest author I can think of in terms of his old stories, who's stories could work on the big screen in a sort of "Notebook" or "Walk to Remember" tradition. Graeme is a great author and captures the emotions of characters in unique ways that I think can carry over to Big Screen without losing development. I don't know how many people think like I do that New Brother can be big screen material. And no I am not being paid to praise the moderator (Though he could bribe me with a new story)

What's your opinion then of the Nolan era Batman movie series? I prefer his interpretation and style over Tim Burton, no offense. Before Nolan, my favorite interpretation was the DCAU version of cartoons from Bruce Timm. I mean Mask of Phantasm was the best thing I saw as a kid (probably influenced me to have a darker tone in my storytelling as well). Though, the new Batman cartoons can kiss my ass, seriously, kids these days don't know good storytelling from crap. Bruce Timm took on politics, corruption, prostitution, child abuse, and other issues in his cartoon, these new cartoons are just chalked full of hubris and camp. _____________________ As for old tv shows and movies, BSG was an awesome show. It had it's frakking flaws but it was always unexpected and mesmerizing. I am not looking forward to the new BSG either, since they are starting back with the "Mormons in space" theme again, ugh!. Although, I will freely admit the new Star Trek movie was fun and impressive. I mean 20 years of history in science fiction is hard to sum up, but Star Trek comes close as many of today's sci-fi storytellers, directors, and producers got inspiration from Star Trek. (Sorry, Star Wars fans ) The other movie to look out for coming up is the new Star Trek movie, Abrams got his work cut out for him.

Then, I guess you won't like Bryan Singer's Battlestar Galactica (I'll pass on that one too) Other than the Dark Knight rising... The Girl who played with fire, part of the Swedish Film trilogy that began with the girl with dragon Tattoo. I can't wait to see the movie in the US adaptation as the Swedish version is okay and the book was brilliant. The Hobbit will be fun, but I don't know if people will compare it well with the ring trilogy. Tolkien wrote this story for kids mostly and it was less about the tragedy of war, plus complex themes of naturalism. The Hobbit in my mind should be crisper and brighter than the trilogy based on the material. To be honest, I personally would wish Peter Jackson and company took on Silmarillion and talk about the ancient wars between the powers leading to the creation of the rings and the rise of the Dark Lord.

I know this has been hyped for the last year, but I can't wait to see it: Is it wrong to love a comic book hero, who is so tragically flawed and human? (I would give Nolan the steering wheel of the Superman franchise next, if Warner Brothers and DC were smart)

Is Google copying Microsoft or is Microsoft copying Google? That sort of holds true for Microsoft users, too.

Let's go for a few guesses: Young Banger- too direct Your Boobs - too hetero Your Boss - too authoritarian and Myr will sue you over copyright You're Bent - too british so here's my recommendation: Your Best - hehe!

I'm the center of a lot of controversy for some reason no matter what topic I start, it always ends in huge debates. I probably should be a politician.

Was that by choice or like most of us, Microsoft force itself on you? Seriously, name a product and their license owner is...Microsoft, it's hard to get away from Microsoft. I'm not a Linux or open source fanboy, but it does stink that so many software licenses come from them and you need their support.

YB Can someone give me some numbers (I could ask Blue, but he's busy in the other place right now ) on the effectiveness of Bing versus Google? I know Microsoft was touting bing as their answer to google, but it hasn't really made me want to switch. I actually am a bigger Microsoft hater now than I was before Bing, because the search engine sucks for me anyway. I've given up being a rich hipsta Apple guy, so my only choice is to be one of the many droids

Well, let's see: We first had Apple as the evil computer company, then they fell apart in the 90's to just come back to life and enslave us with the Ipod, Iphone, and Ipad along with all the nice software from Itunes Microsoft tried to be the biggest bad ass in the world and web, buying everyone out. Then, they got sued and started falling back down to ground level. They are somewhat evil, charging hefty fees for their X-Box online content, but they are no longer super villain material. Now we've to two newcomers: Google and Facebook Who is more evil? Who will actually succeed to take over the world(wide web) ? Google is now so into their software and hardware, it is not even funny. Facebook is heading down that direction and I wouldn't be surprised if Zuckerberg is planning on making his own tablet soon with how much money Facebook is going to get on the initial public offering.

Agreed I was surprised by that too, Madonna was a nice half-time and made me think of Gaga for some reason.

It was a good game and Eli did very well. Pats were not playing at their peak and it shows. Brady made some bad calls and belichick made a bad call in using that timeout to challenge that play, but it was understandable. I am disappointed, but the game was thrilling, it was nail biting and if Gronk had gotten the ball at the last second before it fell to the ground, we'd have won. I think I am done drinking for the night, defeat is a sobering feeling. ________________ And yes, Eli is very attractive in his nice guy next door type of way

He was the best editor I have known to date. Sadly, I have had this horrible time with editors taking on my stories then dropping off the face of the internet. I think I am cursed writer, any editor that touches my story will disappear in a few chapters or one long short story.

Wow, I didn't know one small description would start us down into a flame war, seriously guys. I guess this all goes back to identity and understanding, I like living in as many worlds as I can, despite my predilections to certain things. I can drink, but I have the "Asian" disease of alcohol allergy. I can watch sports and like it, but my vision makes me a horrible player. I can watch and play musical instruments, but I just don't have the attention to finer details that most musicians or even hobbyist have. I mean, I do like to live my life as I try out new things, even if I can't really do it. I feel like the label is not something to frown on, if you live your life true to yourself and who you are. A lot of gay guys have self-hatred, but they're still gay inside and I sympathize with them (DK will probably blast me a new one for saying this), because underneath my own acceptance, I also know how it feels to hold onto the fear of a word and concept. I know if circumstances and things were different I can become one of them. A label is only a description, don't let it define your life. I might say that now, and be a hypocrite about it later, but I think we can live for who we are, not who we think we are.

I remember all that When I was 5, my dad got one of those old Wang computers, I don't know where he got it, probably either the dissolution of the company or something, it was 1992, so probably companies were getting rid of it. The thing was a useless paper weight and I personally wanted to play carmen san diego on the old Mac like my friends. Do you remember the old sites like Lycos with their puppy mascot. I miss the 90's. My last IQ score was around 140, about 143 at age 15, but I don't really care about IQ that much. (My teachers say I lack focus or interest. Though none of the ADHD tests ever showed any signs of issue, so they thought I just don't apply myself, which is pretty true as I didn't care much about school work or projects.)

We already won that, we don't want to be too cocky, people will hate us Bostonians I vote the Pats to win, but I saw Eli's montages: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/1201/eli.manning.rare.photos/content.1.html plus he's not half bad shirtless: Am I a traitor for thinking he's cute? (Blue, you can bite me a new one for saying that, but can you honestly say that he's not at all attractive?)

A few, but I am kind of surprised Ayn Rand got on the list before so many others, plus Buroughs and Capote (both gay authors ) were on the list, so I wonder who compiled it. I also would like to add one more that probably speaks more to my generation than the older guys and probably would seem strange to the younger guys, but it is still cool today: The Perks of being a Wallflower It's a good book and the movie hopefully will do it justice, so it can become a symbol not only of my generation struggles to find meaning and sort through our tangled lives, but also be part of the current generation.
