Now this is living in style." Jamie grinned raising a glass of champaigne to dark blue lips. "What can you expect? This is living in Las Vegas." Joe smiled and leaned over to kiss Jamie softly. Okay, let's set the scenery. Jamie and Joe were in one of those high dollar hotel suites. Sitting in that large hot tub located by a large window with a view of the city skyline and was adorned with a large water bed. Jamie returned Joe's kiss but it deepened. Jamie placed his glass down on the smal

Chapter 6: For Love Jamie squinted as a bright white light hit him. He slowly sat up in his bed and used his hand to shield his eyes. The rest of the room was dark except for that one spot at the foot of his bed. He blinked several times and to his horror, Tiffani West was standing right there. She wore an elegant white dress and had a glow of white light all around her giving off that angelic vibe. Jamie stared at her with wide eyes as she reached her hand out and touched his cheek softly.

Matthew slowly walked into Jamie's cubicle and the sight terrified him. He looked at all the tubes and IVs that were attached to Jamie's arms and then looked to the oxygen pipe that was inserted into his nose; last but not least he took notice to the bruises on Jamie's arms and legs, but the rest was covered in a hospital gown. He slowly walked up to Jamie and was nearly in tears. "Jamie?" He spoke softly and waited for a reply as his body trembled nervously. Jamie slowly opened his eyes a

Matthew stood there in the police station as two other officers took hold of Jamie. He wasn't even fighting and they were throwing him around and slamming him against the walls. Matthew winced at every violent act that was committed upon his love. He turned around after they had finally taken him downstairs and walked outside. It was pouring rain and he just stood there getting soaked from head to toe. His emotions were definitely on a downhill road. He felt terrible and extremely guilty but eve

Matthew carried Jamie in a cradle like way towards the bedroom. Both boys were kissing and Matthew slowly laid a smiling Jamie down on the bed. Matthew quickly moved across the room and got a fire going in the fireplace to keep them both warm. Winter could be cruel up in the north; it being wet and rainy wasn't a good combination. Matthew moved back towards the bed with Jamie waiting with open arms. Matthew smiled and climbed on top of Jamie and they kissed deeply. Jamie pushed his body up again

Jamie moved down another dark alley that was lit only by a few bonfires. Several poor and homeless people littered the alleyways; some were talking, some were passed out, while others just appeared to be in deep thought and drinking their lives away. By now, the rain had stopped; it was only a quick shower but Jamie found himself shivering, soaked in water as he approached a bonfire, and tried to warm up. "How was work?" Joe asked as he leaned against the wall next to the bonfire and took a s

Matthew Carter would be found walking down the streets of New York. It was very close to dark and the sky was lit beautifully in red and orange colors though to Matthew's disappointment those tall buildings hid most of it. He sighed and looked down to the ground thinking about why he even came to New York. He had come to be a detective and his whole reason for doing so has come back to haunt him. His girlfriend Tiffani West was murdered three years ago; though he never truly loved her, she was a

Did Miracle leave like he was supposed to? No, he didn't. He had gotten dressed and didn't even bother to make the bed. He was kicked back in the recliner that was provided in the small living area, his eyes focused on the television as he popped a single piece of popcorn into his mouth, the bag sitting on his lap. However, at the sound of the door being unlocked, he looked over at it before grabbing the remote control and muting the television. That bastard was going to pay for what he had do

July of 2007 "Okay, so I'm not normal because I'm not doing the whole ‘I hate my parents, I don't want to move’ teenage bit, right?" Miracle grinned as turned around from working on packing stuff into boxes and looked at Lacey. Lacey grinned at him from where she sat in the computer chair, tapping the top of a pen against her lips. "That is my diagnosis, yes." Miracle grinned at her, shaking his head. "I love it here in Australia, but you're the only friend I have. You're the only one I

Prologue You know what’s funny? It's funny to have a dream of the perfect life and the perfect love. To work for years to achieve that perfect life and that perfect love, to become obsessed over it, to work and work for it every single day, to go through pain and heart break just to try to make it happen. And when it finally does happen, you feel as if everything you went through was all worth it. You finally sit down and allow yourself to be happy. You stop worrying. You feel as if you a

A promiscuous Australian teen, with a troubled past, deals with love addiction, borderline personality disorder, and bipolar disorder, all while his life spirals out of control, into a world of drama, obsession, murder and death. Through it all though, despite the external war, there is also an internal war, one that might be even harder to win.

Okay this is something that has come to mind quite a few times. I know that in most places gay marriage isn't legal however just because the govornment says we can't marry doesn't mean we can't marry. Who is to stop us from dressing up and having a nice ceremony in the backyard and simply having a name change? Of course there would be no benefits and it's still unfair but if it's all about an expression of love this should be enough. What do you guys think?

There are several movies that have made me cry. The most recent one being "Rites Of Passage" Jason Behr was so good in that movie, he broke my heart with his performance. "Titanic" was another one but it has sadly lost it's effect because I've seen it so much. "Thelma And Louise" was the theme of my teen years, just wanting to escape. That movie stirred alot of emotions in me during that time. "Abandon" with Katie Holmes was also another one, the theme of loneliness really hit a spot back in that time. "A Walk To Remember" Who wouldn't cry watching that movie? There are several others but thats all I can think of off the top of my head.

It sounds like one of those old myths that have been told for years. I don't know though, maybe you should google it?

Well this may be an old blog but I'll just chime in. I dislike the sagging trend. Everytime I see one I wish for someone to come around and just yank them down and teach them a lesson. That happened at my middle school once, someone came by and just yanked this other guys pants down. I prefer to dress in neat and fitted clothes, thats how I was raised and thats how I remain today. I think the sagging pants is gross and disrespectable. It's a trend I'll just have to tolerate until the day it dies.

And...well...maybe my typo of furniture instead of future will cheer you up some? Horrible typo...
-
I am really sorry to hear all of that. It's so depressing the way this world is getting, everything thats happening all around us, the war, the fighting, the dieing economy. Things are so hard for alot of people, I am so sorry you are going through so much and I am sorry I can't offer you more. I'm not going to tell you that everything will get better, that it always does because as time has gone on, the entire world has just gotten worse. Maybe some day in the furniture everyone will find peace and harmony but I won't promise that will happen. It's not a real hug but it's the best I can offer. I don't know if it is foolish to believe in 2012 or even hope for it but whatever happens, if anything, I just hope it brings an end to everyones suffering, either by taking us all out so we can move to the next stage of existance or some miracle recovery for the world. If you need to talk, you can always message me.

I consider myself semi connected. Like I can write things just fine as far as happy scenes and action and stuff like that. Though I find that during really intense scenes, particularly really sad ones I find that I have to be able to feel it. I usually just listen to music and try to put myself into my characters mind. Once I do that it all flows easy.
-
Okay I wanted to ask this question since I had to do it myself. I was writing and I was in such a good and happy mood and had to force myself into complete sadness in order to write what I wanted to write. How many of you do that? And what are your methods for inducing certain emotions or altering your mood? And last but not least does it sound crazy to be perfectly happy and want to feel sad, even for writing?

Thank you for your response. I managed to fix the problem! Found this is another thread that I looked up. It was a life saver. Figured I'd quote it here for anyone who might need it!
-
I don't know how to do that. I've never had this problem before, from what I can remember. I have it saved as a Rich Text Document and I used wordpad that comes standard with windows vista. I have tried uploading the file and when I click preview or post chapter it brings up a window with the empty text box and none of the story is on it.
-
Okay I know this probably isn't the correct forum to post this in but I would really like to get some advice as soon as possible. I am trying to post my new story in E-fiction and whenever I paste the text into the text box it totally mangles my spacing, creating one huge wall of text, it doesn't allow any of my italics either. I've tried uploading the text file it's self and when ever I hit preview none of the text shows up. Does anyone have a solution for this? I really would like to avoid having to go in and redo the spacing in the text box and I really need to be able to use the italics. Please help me!

Do you count 2010 as the end of the decade or the beginning?
x Trevor x replied to Y_B's topic in The Lounge
I have alot more nostalgia for the 90's for the purpose of childhood but the early 2000's were my younger teen years so I kinda miss them aswell. 2002 - 2004 was awesome but after that the world kinda started going down hill. I agree though, the 90's were better than the '00s in my opinion. -

Interesting point. I always wondered what the very first year was. I think technically that would be correct. I guess it all depends on perspective. I tend to like to keep with the trend of grouping them like the 80's and the 90's.
