  1. You’re probably right. My information came as soon as I discovered my topic had been archived and I asked a Moderator. My not wanting to comment had nothing to do with what you said.
  2. I’m not going to comment on that.
  3. It’s on my list… ;–)
  4. I was told that the automatic archiving was supposed to only affect a few areas in the Forums, but the wide-spread effect was unexpected and unintended.
  5. Hey! It looks like you and @Wesley8890 both have the same hairstyle! ;–)
  6. Yeah, there was some weird archiving of many topics. Apparently it was done automatically and there was no consultation with the original poster. It happened to my Musings on TV Ads topic too. ;–)
  7. Frameline goes out of its way to present programs that focus on all the various aspects of our community. I’ve learned a lot from seeing many different documentaries and narratives over the years. I’ve posted my thoughts on many Trans-related movies in the three (so far) topics I’ve posted on GA in The Pit.
  8. I’ve missed seeing you around, @Slytherin. We must not be reading the same stories these days! It’s good to see you again! ;–)
  9. That’s a beautiful story! ;–) Have you seen Growing Up Coy? It’s a documentary about a family in Colorado that fought the local school district when the school district reneged on their promise to allow Coy to use the girl’s restroom. (I think Coy's father was ex-military.) I highly recommend it.
  10. Honda has a new ad using Care Bears (I miss seeing the blue Care Bear avatar here on GA). And one featuring the Six Million Dollar Man Action Figure. I’ve officially aged out of Honda’s target market for their nostalgia-themed ads… ;–)
  11. For you 17th century fans, I really like the opening of this performance...but the interest quickly fades. What do you think? Monteverdi Vespers at the royal chapel, Versailles.
  12. 41,927 other Dead-Composers entries may be found here: https://gayauthors.org/forums/topic/41927-dead-composers-society/
  13. Following on the heels of our 'Live-Poets Society' over in the Writer's Corner, I thought we'd do something similar with classical music. The goal of this thread is to share videos on classical music we like. The idea is to introduce our fellow enthusiasts to pieces and composers we may or may not have heard of. Post a link to a video with a few words of introduction; mainly along the lines of who and how the piece interests you personally. Naturally, I encourage feedback on what others post, and suggest we all keep an open mind [[needless to say, the composers do not have to be deceased, lol, but oftentimes It's the best career move they ever made ]]
  14. I was born totally balanced tattoo-wise and plan to keep it that way. I’ve been told I already have too many holes in my head so I won’t be adding to them. Aside from dental work, the only surgery I’ve had performed on me was completely non-consensual, in infancy (an unnecessary, non-religious circumcision). ;–) Now if someone can fix my brain (clinical depression and anxiety) without prescribing more meds (which didn’t work), I’d be all for that kind of modification! ;–) My therapists and psychiatrists all denied having access to a magic wand! ;–)
  15. My blurb for Bound & Bound came to me at the last minute. I had other working drafts, but waited until all the ideas coalesced in my head I always wait to the end to try and do one, and sometimes run them by others for comments. That happened with @Timothy M. and my recent novella Campfires and Starlight. He helped improve it in subtle yet important ways. It's always good to seek second opinions.
  16. I remember interviews with the actors when Star Trek: Voyager and when Enterprise were just starting out. The actor who played Harry Kim, Garrett Wang, commented on the close interactions between Kim and Tom Paris and said he’d be okay with them becoming a couple. And I think it was Dominick Keating who said the same thing about Reed and Trip. The actors were on board, but the producers weren’t and soon married Paris off to B’Elanna and linked Trip with T’Pol romantically to prevent their teenaged male fan base from having to confront their own homophobia.
  17. For someone who claims to be concerned with manners, ‘Mr fucking Symmonds’ sure is rude! ;–)
  18. A prostitute? ;–)
  19. Most straight (and probably bi) guys fantasize about threeways. Leia was kind of a tomboy, but she’s a little too obviously a girl for a Gay man like me! She can stay in bed fully clothed and keep firing off those biting comments and clever quips though! ;–) Or, she could leave so it’s just me, Luke, and Han (at the ages we were when Star Wars first came out)… ;–)
  20. I’d rather imagine a young Han and Leia recreating the scene from Game of Thrones where Margery Tyrell is trying to seduce Renly Baratheon and suggests that she could invite her older brother Loras to join them in bed if that would help… ;–)
  21. I’m still trying to get Celine Dion deported along with Justin Bieber. Oh, and Robin Thicke. I’m fine with most of the other Canadian imports though. ;–)
  22. Yeah, yeah, yeah! I’m shallow! I just know what catches my eyes first! ;–)

    Life Lessons

No one is an instant expert – except in Nifty stories! ;–)
  24. There was a not-an ad promo on PBS for the upcoming episode of The Durrells in Corfu. I don’t watch the show, so I don’t know the characters. A young woman demonstrates twisting her body into unusual positions and announces that she’s a contortionist. A young man (presumably a main character) begs her to be his girlfriend just based on her physical abilities. I know men like that. ;–)

    True To Life

Joyless Joy. Even though visiting her was painful, being rejected by his own mother like that has devastated Geoff. Geoff is lucky to have Tony and Helen. ;–) Joyless needs realize that Gloria is right! ;–)
