  1. Well, maybe this should be in games, but the IDEA is that you start the music and then add on to the story, like a round robin Maybe it oughta be moved...
  2. my head is circumnavigating the bowl
  3. I did this on one of the blog entries here, but it's time to step it up a notch. Originally swiped from this thread on reddit.com. Let's set the mood. Your speakers shouldn't be too loud, nor too soft. The music and sounds repeat on a loop, so you've got time to get comfy. Get a Scotch, or in my case, a nice fresh cuppa. How's the lighting? It's best to do this at night. Open this link in a new tab in your browser (right or ctrl-click it, then select "open in new tab"). Now open this link in a new tab. if you've got the will, open this one in a new tab too. Now scroll down and continue the story... Edit: Tried to move the story to a reply, but this ridiculous website keeps appending it to the post. Stupid website. I came down the steps of the brownstone. She was standing under the streetlight, looking every bit the cat's meow I knew her to be. She looked good, as only she could - yeah, I knew her. She'd been my brother's boyfriend, once. Back when it mattered. Back before Gladys ripped out my heart and jammed it into the tailpipe of my '43 Buick. With a flip, I caught her eye. I'm not sure if it was the handstand or the fact that I'd caught it in one hand upside down, but she was sure looking now, her eye bugging out like her other eye never could. And she looked scared. Real scared.
  4. Or maybe for uh, hygienic reasons?
  5. I'm just not at all sure what to do with that phrase but it cannot stand
  6. Okay, well start here, Jeremy's most excellent timeline, with lots of great info. Step into the thunderdome with this, which is my clunky-as-hell attempt at a family tree using family tree web software, which basically has NO IDEA how to handle the completely WHACK relationships in the CAP world. Once you're into that horrible thing, click on a name and then click "ancestors" or "descendants" to see information in a chart form. Here's a link to Brad's page there, which at least is a start without wading through a lot of nonsense. Here's a link to a pedigree page for JJ Schluter, who is apparently his own grandfather and whose great grandmother is his cousin or something. Mark and Jeremy, I'm sending you usernames and passwords for that tree thing, because I probably have a lot of wrong info there. For anyone interested, here is the raw genealogy file (called a gedcom file) with all the data in it. You have to save it to your computer and then import it into the genealogy software of your choice. That site is my sandbox, where, like a cat, I bury things. Treat accordingly, and if anything seems a little squishy, it's probably best to avoid it.
  7. ZOMBIE TREVOR I knew it, I KNEW HE WAS A BRAINEATER
  8. Yang, you're a smart guy. I'm a smart guy. Lots if people here are smart. I would say that the ratio of people who understand FB's risks and absolute disregard for your private information vs those who don't are around one in twenty. And the ones that get viruses through FB are even worse. And read the article. It's not about what you explicitly say. What people say about you, not what you put in your profile, is now being used to arrive at conclusions about your sexual orientation. You don't think that's a problem?
  9. Every day, I'm just that bit closer to deleting my facebook account. I mean, I don't care what people I went to high school with had for dinner. Especially since I don't like any of the losers I went to high school with AND dinner is mostly overrated. This just adds fuel to the fire...
  10. Who was standing on the cliff with binoculars?
  11. Nope, don't see any cliffs here, nor any way to hang em. Cool...
  12. 's dusty in here. Stupid onions.
  13. Eh, as far as I'm concerned, he died. So when he exacts his revenge, it will be as Zombie Trevor, eating pirate braaaains. When ZT says he wants to do a little "oral" with Joel, it's gonna mean something a little different. And when he finds his mom (who is also a Zombie Overlord), they will sail the ocean on Zombie Atlantis and Zombie Ares, a little zombie fleet there, always searching for Dirk, and always, always looking to warm up. The water is so cold, it's always so, so cold... ...and deep, too.
  14. When Trev transforms into the Zombie Overlord of the Deep, he'll be able to use Atlantis as a lily pad.
  15. Chump don't get no help. Jive ass dude ain't got no brains *anyhow* She was so funny in Airplane...
  16. As would I HA
  17. AWESOME. I knew it. I'll be in my bunk.
  18. It's a 55 foot cat! I get that getting some good speed up with little motion is great, but sheesh! Sailing is for those who want to enjoy the ride, right? That yachtsman has the boom about 90 degrees across the hull, which (I think) means he's got a good crosswind going. Is that good? How is babby formed? If I wanted to worry about speed, I'd be in this baby - 22 knots cruising, 36 knots top speed and a stow and go jet ski.
  19. Here are a couple of points I think I should make. 1. Fisheye lenses suck. 2. That video guy spends WAY too much time looking at boat speed. You're on a sailboat, it doesn't matter (unless you're a pilot) 3. Thank you SO MUCH for getting that ridiculous song stuck in my head.
  20. HOLY CRAP that's awesome, Adam. Congratulations!
  21. HOLY CRAP YOU ARE VERY OLD NOW Happy birthday!
  22. James! Well done. Now do it again.
  23. Ten. :::kicks stagecoach wheel:::
  24. FOOEY your ideas are all POOP What Claremont needs more than ANYTHING is a new CHURCH. Just plop one of these babies down in town, throw a little righteous Schluter indignation in there, spice it up with some down home Crampton Construction, and baby, you got a stew going.
