  1. I like it. not Sure I like the going to someone's name and send PM window that pops up, but that can easily be avoided by just clicking send new message. Did anyone else go through their inbox and notice you can't respond to any of the messages that were there from the old software? Also, any chance of getting an archive old messages button back or did i completely miss where that is at? Other than that, great job, and i'm not really complaining, honest Linxe
  2. Ah, I forgot to mention. Some of the information regarding our current payload on U.S. Nuclear Submarines (yes, I do know there are more our there, such as the British Empire's use of trident missiles on their SSBNs, but I was more concerned with getting the paper done so I could go to bed, get up and make my powerpoint to go with the presentation) So, in effect, the U.S. has like 18 SSBNs according to the last quote used. That book was written in 2001. As of 2002 or 03 or 04 two Ohio class submarines were converted to SSGN's (Sub surface guided nuclear) with conventional payloads, i.e., tomahawks, and I believe at least two more are being converted to SSGNs as well. Now all that being said, I haven't even gotten into researching nuclear silos on land and such...so...if someone else wants to do that, go for it. And just for something else to think about, I believe i read somewhere that there's like 20,000 nuclear weapons in the world at the moment (could be higher, I don't remember the exact number now sorry) Regards, again, Jon
  3. That's a quote from CJ that was brought up in the last chapter of Changing Lanes. At the time I didn't weigh in on the subject because I was still doing my own research at the time, plus I didn't feel that discussing it within the context of the chapter post itself was appropriate. That said, I've created a new post. The following is something I've written for my composition 2 class, in which I have to present my paper tomorrow...ehr, later on today, actually, in about 8 and a half hours. As previously stated, i'm posting it here because at the time when it was being discussed I didn't feel I knew enough about the subject to properly weigh in (even though I've supposedly been researching it for the past 4 weeks or so). Thus, I present to you my paper, which I must warn you, don't steal it for your own class, it's called plagiarism. Regards, Jon and now, without further ado: Nuclear Proliferation! What is it and why is it important? "I am become death, the shatterer of worlds."
  4. Read it, loved it, can't wait for the next chapter. Now moving onto a topic that was discussed in the last chapter, alas, I'll be making a new post for that one... Regards, Jon
  5. It's not OVER yet ::flails:: wow, you people are fast. I swear I just posted this Jon
  6. Part 2 of the TLC match Author's Disclaimer: Linxe Termoil is in no way shape or form affiliated with the goat, nor does he have any actual knowledge of anything that will happen in any future chapters of the story "Changing Lanes" by the author C James. This is a complete work of Linxe's imagination and as such, is subject to the following rules and regulations. The body of the work belongs to him, the characters Helen and Jerry, Jane and Yuri belong to the author C James. As Linxe is doing this out of his own boredom, he's giving this work to the author C James to do whatever he pleases with it, but does sincerely hope you all enjoy it. Also, the numerous other fans that have made an appearance in this fun little story are here by courtesy of me, and any such characterizations were done so out of the author's (me) imagination, not because they're real. Regards, Jon Helen inhaled through her nose, trying to keep her breathing as quiet as possible as the two male figures stalked through the room, just in sight of her. She was on the upper landing overlooking the main dining room of the observatory. Glancing across the upper balcony, she nodded to Jane and held up a hand, gesturing for her to be patient, and turned her attention to the two figures below them as they moved out into the open space below the balcony. It was almost time. "They must be here somewhere, we were right on their trail," The Scar said, his voice just barely audible to Helen from where she was watching above them. Yuri nodded his head in agreement and pointed out a couple of chairs that were out of place from their seating arrangements. "I'd say they ran through here pretty fast," he said. "The only question is, where did they go ne
  7. nyeh...I knew I shouldn't have read this chapter today. Cause now I have to wait to see what happens next What a disaster, and if my boy Jansen gets hurt in any way shape or form....I'll personally find a recipe for goat stew....

  9. ::kicks:: Nuff said
  10. I had a cheating partner once. I could understand the girls thing, because he was bi, and I did kind of trick him into a relationship with me, but I'd still get mad about the girls. It was when he cheated on me with a jackass on the same submarine crew I was on that I got really mad. We kind of ended it after awhile, especially when he indicated he was more interested in girls. However, we still remained friends. Now, if this is the 2nd or 3rd time the guys doing it, I would recommend thinking about going to get your own apartment and inform him that you're moving out, and selling your share of the house. If nothing else it might get a rise out of him, enough to force him to talk. Regards, and best of luck to you, Jon
  11. There's nothing wrong with cheap so long as it doesn't come used or overly abused. Thank you ~shopping at Wal-mart
  12. someone's jealous, but names shall not be named to protect the innocent. Yeesh, what kind of car did he have? I remember banging around in a car, on a car, etcetera a few times. Needless to say, it could most definitely get awkward if there wasn't any room. Hope your hangover's all better now. Jon
  13. I'm still scratching my head over it....I'll let you know when I figure it out
  14. I can't even believe I'm going to get into this conversation, but, barring anal intercourse, the age of consent, FROM WHAT I COULD FIND, in canada is 16 years old. However, I must state that at this time I'm not a lawyer, and while I could probably attempt to find out 100%, assuming I had the resources in hand and could cite statutes, etc, I'd say you can use this information I provide you at your own risk. http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/mar/08030501.html That said and done, like everyone else, I must really advise you to move on somewhere else. Why go getting involved when you're probably heading off to college soon anyways, and you'll find yourself infatuated with someone else. Let the boy be a boy and grow up and if, indeed, he is a homosexual, then you'll know when he's older. All that said and done, do you really think he has the mental capacity to deal with any sort of relationship right now? As chase said, move on and leave the kid alone.
  15. So very very true. Heh, I think this woman knows me better then I know myself at times. I'm surrounded by people who love me and yet I constantly feel so damn alone. Okay, enough of a misery party, Mark, bring on the strippers!
  16. Hahaha, Totally love to see that Jon
  17. I'm with you on that one, and now for the old guy hitting on the youngster...I have a solution to this problem! Okay, I'll behave myself now Jon

  20. that's why she got stopped and I couldn't think of any other way to describe it. If i were to rewrite it now I'd say she stooped down low to the ground and made her way forward, or some such thing. As for me, well...I'm in protective custody atm so I think I'm safe Jon
  21. Okay, most of you probably know I'd come across an idea in my poll, when I said the above. Well...it's happened, you can see the first part here. I'll have the 2nd (possibly the final) part up in a few days. Just remember, please, no rants or bashing I did it out of fun. Regards, Jon
  22. Okay, so here it is. Part one of the TLC match. Will our hero's make it? Regards, Jon Jane and Helen, Jerry and Yuri in a TLC match atop the volcano Jane gasped, her side hurting from running as she ducked behind the giant rock just as a sharp crack sounded out behind her. She heard a grunt as Helen ducked behind the rock next to her.
