    Chapter 10

I used it because I like the quirky sound of it. I've no idea where I learned it from.
  2. Palantir

    Chapter 8

    We'll see!
  3. Palantir

    Chapter 7

    Yep! Stuff happens.
  4. Palantir

    Chapter 5

Whoops! Take care - I'm getting on a bit so some of my terms might be rather outdated.
  5. Palantir

    Chapter 2

Thank you! - Great to hear!
  6. Palantir

    Chapter 1

I hope the story continues to hold your interest. Yes, we do use different names for many common objects here in Aus.
  7. Palantir

    Chapter 31

Lol - Yes, the cast of characters grows again.
  8. Palantir

    Chapter 30

    Again, thank you!

    Chapter 27

Lol - With a group like this, a little bit of fun is so contagious it rapidly escalates to a lot of fun.

    Chapter 26

'awesome'! I love that description. I think of Colin as one of those quiet people who's actions can change the course of events.

    Chapter 22

    Yep, very inclusive.

    Chapter 18

    Thank you.

    Chapter 13

Yes, Phillips starts as a kind of nemesis character to make Peter worry, but then we learn we can't always 'judge a book by its cover'.

    Chapter 11

The necklaces weren't part of my planning. They were one of those moments (which I love) when the character takes over and does something unexpected.
  15. Palantir

    Chapter 5

Hmm! Well, she is very perceptive.

    Chapter 4

Wow! Matthew is arguably the gentlest person in the whole story. 'Awesome' is a striking way to describe him.

    Chapter 3

Thank you. Lol - On the surface Andy and Marty aren't leaving him any other options.
  18. Not to be confused with Baldrick, the Blackadder dingaling.
  19. I've payed the card game but for me the word has always meant something odd or rather offbeat.
  20. I have a quince tree and used to get more fruit than I could use. Alas the cockatoos discovered it and now not one quince is left for me. Quince jelly is to die for! Seventy years ago I used to sneak into the kitchen for spoonfuls made to my mum's family recipe.
  21. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-03-20/giant-trapdoor-spider-species-discovered-in-queensland/102121974 Yay! Don't they look magnificent!! Where else but Aussie Land. 😁
  22. Oh No! Reserved, gifted, thoughtful - GA has lost a quietly special member. Richard honored me with the use of one of his comments for the published version of my fantasy story and in our last communication he commented on the novelty of receiving a hand written thank-you letter. We both lived through time before the internet but evidently letter-writing had a special place in his life. Vale.
