A fight between two children will tear a family apart faster than almost anything. Isidore is protecting her "baby" and will be a mother lion about this. Billy always seemed almost an afterthought for everyone else, but I think he is the one she is really invested in; because none of the other kids really need her...

Here begins one of the saddest series of chapters in the CAP universe... Robbie really seems to understand Brad much better than Brad understands Robbie or maybe even himself. The scene on the plan coming back was perfectly written. I really enjoy when Stef interacts with Brad and the other kids.

The writing just keeps getting stronger and stronger. I really feel that I am in the room with these people dealing with what is going on. What is even better is that I really wish I was in the room with these people... Great work, Mark...

Someone in this story should have fallen in love with a good therapist and they could have saved a fortune... Mark writes some of these scenes with such accuracy and passion that the research is really first rate or he has some experience with it in some way in his background... Great Job...

I have never been able to really understand the need of some to pick on the weakest. I guess it goes back to protecting the tribe and wanting only the strong to survive so the tribe as a whole was stronger. I was just raised differently. My mother and grandmothers always went out of their way to make sure that those less fortunate were helped. I guess it stuck...

The writing for the scene with Claire and Brad is so realistic. There is few decisions that a girl/woman will ever have to make that is as hard as this one is going to be. In the end, no one but the person making the decision really knows what is best for that person...

The drama of high school is never easy to understand or decipher. You can spend a lifetime just trying to get a grip on it. Mark is able to convey the feel and flow of teen drama better than almost any writer I have ever seen... Bravo...

It is amazing that you could really have a party like that and no one, not even most of the other parents cared back then; do that now and the cops and the DA would have a field day. Brad needs to have a little trust but hard to do thta when you aren't really sure of yourself...

The past is a pull that none of us can really ignore; the secret it not to let it determine where you end up in the future... Each day can be a clean slate, we just have to decide what to do with it...

There are some people that no matter how much you try, you just need to cut loose because in the end nothing you do will ever really work. Jake seems like this; he knows what he is doing is wrong but it is a pathological need on his part, he really can't help himself... Mark's writing is so good that as much as you want to hate Jake, you can't even though if like me you have read this all before you know how much damage he will do in the future as well...

Damn, the rich really are different than you and me; they even run away with more style. I was starting to wonder if Robbie was ever going to stand up for anything that he wanted with anyone. I guess he picked the battle that was really important for him to win.

I honestly never got the pray the gay away... No ethical therapist would ever take part in something like that, unfortunately there are those that for enough money will do just about anything... It is good that more places are moving to stop that kind of therapy today, noticed that New Jersey just did and several other states are looking at legistation to do so...

There really is nothing harder than being with someone you love and having them injured and having nothing you can do but be there for them... Mark really has captured the feeling and pain of this so well...

Even in 1980 that will get the guy arrested and probably a lawsuit; they are in San Francisco not OKC... I just love Tonto... Robbie doesn't understand what this family is like yet, it is very much on the French or Italian models; you attack one member and the rest close ranks and you find yourself under fire from all sides...

Brad really seems to think that Robbie is the one not ready for a relationship but Brad is the one that can't really decide who he wants... I don't think anyone is really ready for a one on one relationship at 17 but neither of these boys are for sure...

You know those relationships where the partner one isn't ready to commit when partner two is; then partner one gets ready and partner two isn't so sure; then when partner two is sure again, partner one is back on the fence; I have a feeling that is the way this will be for years to come...

JP and Roger will make an interesting couple. I have to say I thought they might end up together even back in the last story. For Robbie to freak like that, you know there has to be something else going on, I wonder when he will trust Brad enough to tell him...

JP, Stef, and Tonto are such amazing people... It is truly wonderful what you can do with your life if you have the right people there to support you and care for you...

Ending and beginnings can both happen at the strangest times... I have to say I was amazed that JP was willing to put up with some of what he had from Sam; it took the situation with Jake and Isidore putting her foot down to give him the reason not to do so...

The issue with Sam and Jake would haunt the family for years to come; it ended tragically for them and the ripples are still being felt oh so many years later... The fact that Brad is so much like JP but with more of a temper makes for an interesting combo; it comes out in strange ways...

Jake is acting like so many his age would given the chance to be themselves without any thought to how anyone else would react; the problem is how is Brad going to react... The second you meet Robbie, you know from how the writing is done that he is going to be really important... I can't wait to see how JP reacts...
