I loved the new chapter... Robbie is starting to come to his senses but so is Brad. They have to decide if the plus they have in their lives are enough to overcome the negatives and whether it is better to remain in a relationship or transition into friends with perhaps benefits... With the big blow up at the gala, and everything coming out the way it did, I would think we would start to find more clues to the person really behind all of this. I hope this first climax isn't the best one but just the incentive to really bring off the big one?!?! Keep up the great work Mark...

Please?!?!?!?!

Well have been out of touch with all technology the last few days so just got to read chapters 26 and 27 back to back and what can I say but Freaking Great!!!! I loved the final set ups and how everything played out. I do admit that I feel some sympathy for Brandon, you have to wonder why he did it? I have been saying from the very first that the person really behind all of this is from JP/Stef's past more than Brad's... I still think that when the action shifts to Claremont, we will find out the real mastermind, who might not be as masterful as they thought... While I do think that Robbie has made a good transition and I do hope that Brad and Robbie end up together, I don't believe they are out of the woods yet. I hope that what comes next is as good as the last few chapters have been. So, you will have the next 20 chapters or so posted by the end of the week???

The scene between Brad and Robbie was pitch perfect... No matter what happens to them in the end, you know that they will find a way to stay friends. I do hope that they find a way to work it out and stay together but will remain a fan no matter which way it goes. I think that Robbie showing up and the fact that Brad understands Robbie so well, that they were so easily able to go into fake fight mode in front of Dan really actually helped Brad make his case with Dan. Dan definitely hated Robbie more in the past than he did Brad, he blamed Robbie for keeping him and Brad apart. I wonder if on Friday night, Brad and Robbie shouldn't show up and be all lovey dovey and maybe even invite Max and Cody, wouldn't that just chap Lark's ass, to see Max happy... I hope we get the business issues resolved soon, at least most of them, I think it will take a while for everything to come out on the backside. I want to get back to Brad/Robbie and see what ideas JP has for Claremont. Keep up the great work Mark, I hope you know how much we all appreciate this small slice of heaven you are bringing to out lives... And if you don't like the heaven refrence, just substitute orgy of delight...

Chapter 23 was wonderful. I liked the way Brad handled things with Dan and the interplay with Stef and Luke was first rate. I really liked the set up and how the meeting with Mr Lu went. It really showed the diffrent skills of all those involved. I can't wait to see how this business situation plays out. I found it very revelaing that when Brad was explaining to Stef why he was after Dan, that the first thing he mentioned was how they went after Robbie and tried to destroy him. The fact that this was mentioned first tells me that no matter what Brad still loves and cares about what happens with Robbie. I might be wrong but I am starting to believe more and more that Brad and Robbie will be together and stronger than ever when this story ends. I do think that Robbie needs to learn to become more assertive and stand up for himself more, but I think part of the problem with that is Brad really likes to be the one in charge and the one making the decisions. They both need to learn a little more give and take if they want to be together in fifty years... I do feel that they could become a team as formidable as JP and Stef but they still both have a lot of growing and learning to do to make it to that level. This story is quickly becoming one of the favorites of the CAP series, although nothing will ever touch the first one for me. I can't wait to see where Mark takes us on this wonderfully inventive ride.

Okay, Mark, you need to get over your real life and concentrate on what is important... A New Chapter of the Bridgemont series... While I have been wraped up with your latest CAP story, I am still perishing waiting on the next chapter in this story. I do realize that getting the historical factors just right makes it more time consuming, so I suggest you cut out sleep... Please, oh please, I need a new chapter...

I do agree that Rev Carmichael, might be Brad's half brother from his biological father Commander Kevin Carmichael. I have already thought of this and agree it would add an interesting twist, damn there is that pesky insest again, Brad slept with his nephew... There are still Cramptons and Hendricksons left in Claremeont. Jim, JP's brother, had at least two children and it seems to me that beside Brian, who was illegitimate like JP, there were a couple of other Hendricksons either mentioned or alluded to at some point. While I could see Rev Carmichael wanting to strike at Brad to punish him for their fathers affair, if he is his half brother, I once again don't think he would have the money. I still fell the person is from either Claremont or has some connection to it. There really hasn't been much talk in the last few stories of any other members of the founding families but some still are around unless like Tonto, their deaths were between stories and never really covered.

I doubt that Max's parents or Kevin's parents have the kind of money that the person truly behind this would have to have... Plus the fact that JP has now shown to still be a force in Claremont, and Mark hinting that the story might move back that way at some point, leads me to believe the person behind this is from the distant past. I think we need to look at one of the founding families of Claremont for the one truly behind all of this....

Great chapter, the writing and suspense were both first rate... Robbie is getting on my nerves as well with the whinning but I do think that Brad's constant teasing about his weight and hair loss for the last several years is partially to blame for Robbie's behaviour. Now, that said, I am not excusing Robbie going out and falling in love with Carson. As it has already been stated, I do think that the people going after Robbie/Brad/Stef/etc... probably knew some of Robbie's past and coached Carson on how to act and treat him. While I don't think that Brad is truly abusive to Robbie, I do think that the constant teasing and remarks have worn down Robbie's self-esteem. I do want them to stay together but I do agree that Robbie needs to grow a pair and Brad needs to realize this isn't all Robbie's fault. I find it funny that Dan hasn't aged as well as Brad, after all Dan was so physical and active in Be Rad. I still believe that there is someone else ultimately behind this, someone that is acting as the bank to finance all fo this. Keep this story coming...

I don't have an issue with the idea of incest so much if it is a cousin or even an uncle by marriage, been there and done that... but you just do not sleep with one of your partners kids, I don't care if they grew up with you or have been there for fifteen seconds... That is just a line that should not ever be crossed. Even if the relationship is on the rocks and going down for the third time, there are certain lines that you just don't go past. I am not sure that even if the relationship ends do you cross those lines... I am also getting a little tired of Brad's poor me routine. Although I don't think that Robbie has groveled enough to really deserve to be back in Brad's good graces, Brad needs to decide whether he wants Robbie back. I have always wanted Brad and Robbie to stay together, and I still believe in the end they will make it. One minute Brad seems to be accepting that Robbie made a mistake and let's him back in a little and the next Robbie is evil incarnate and must be punished, make up your mind!!! I can completely see Tonto as an avenging ghost, punishing those that besmirch the family honor. Tonto even after she left Claremont worked to better the city and the lives of those that were still there. I have always seen the City of Claremont as a full fledged character in these stories. I grew up in a small town, that I consider to be the center of all known evil in the universe, but it still draws me back from time to time. I think for this family, Claremont will always be something that draws them back. I cannot wait for Grace to show back up and I hope they let her fire Brandon... I cannot wait to find out who put the money up to support Dan/Lark/Brandon/Carson/etc... I have consistently said since the first that this goes back to someone from Claremont and until Mark proves me wrong, I am going to stick to that story. Okay, Mark, I thought we decided that you couldn't have your own life, you are suppose to be just eating, sleeping, and writing to keep up amused... Get to work...

:wacko: :wacko: Okay, I like how JP is tying things back to Claremont because I, at least, still believe the person that is really behind all of the business issues is someone from there... I know that it is totally illogical but until proven otherwise, I am sticking to that theory. I cannot tell you how bad I think the idea of Brad sleeping with Matt will be... Nothing is ever really a secret and if three people know, at some point, in some way, this will come out. I don't think anyone else in the family will ever get over it. I think it could ruin Matt's relationship with Wade, I don't think Wade would object as much to a open declaration but doing it behind his back, isn't something he will accept. Robbie will never get over this, it doesn't matter what Robbie did, Brad sleeping with Matt is worse than anything that Robbie did or ever thought about doing.... Besides Wade and Robbie, I don't think anyone else in the immediate family is going to take this well. There is no diffrence between Brad sleeping with Matt and Brad and JP or Stef sleeeping together and does anyone think that is really a good idea??? Brad needs to be mature and think with his big head instead of his little head and help Matt get over this without it becoming more physical than a couple of kisses and gropes. As always the writing and character development is wonder, keep the chapters coming...

Jeanine started out as a nanny to Darius and after a sexual encounter with Brad, believe it started in or happened in a pool, became mother to Will. While she may have some well deserved anger issues, she once again is a character that doesn't have the financial resources to be the one truly behind all of this. To fund something like this would require hundreds of millions of dollars and no matter how disctracted Brad is, I think he would notice that much being missing... The other issues with this theory is that she came in after Brad/Robbie were graduating college. She would have not known anything about Dan or even really Lark, by that time he was really only involved with Max. I know I keep going back to it and no one else ever seems to agree but I think it is someone from Claremont. I guess Dan could have used his own money and then redirected/skimmed/stolen enough from the company he works for but such a huge amount seems unlikely. The investment companies that seeded a lot of the tech companies during that time invested tens of millions to hundreds of millions of dollars on the deals. This isn't an amount that you just saved out of the grocery money or set up a line of credit for at the local bank. Now I guess they could have taken the profits from the first few deals and plowed that back in but still don't think they would have had the money that seems to be behind this other company. Plus and I know this is really trivial, but doesn't it seem just a little cliche to have the one lesbian in this storyline turn out to be a total bitch??? P.S.... My only deal with it being someone from Wade's family is the tape that Matt/Wade have of Wade's father, I just can't see anyone in his family taking a risk that would come out. Wade had indicated that he really had never had any serious relationships with anyone before Matt, so why would anyone hate him that much??? Plus something like this would take years to set up, getting Brandon and Carson in position, etc... Wade has only been with the family less than two years at this point, not sure that is enough time.

Okay, I have decided that Mark doesn't need a real life, he is only allowed to sleep, eat, and write. LOL... I need at least one chapter a day from this point forward or I will have significant health issues. Love everything about chapter 19, the pacing and writing is excellent as always. I am so getting into each and everyone in this story. I love how Sergio/Kevin was almost a throw-away but has developed into a really interesting persona. I loved how Robbie got back at Carson, hope he gets stuck in a drunk tank over-night. Will is developing into his own person and is becoming so interesting to watch. I do think that Brad is a little dismissive of Jeanine and not sure that she really deserves that. If nothing else, she is the mother of his only biological child. Seems that she has always been the parent that has dealt with the every day grind of parenthood and maybe he should appreciate her contributions more... Jeanine really has never been a fully developed character however, we have always just had glimpses of her from the very first. Maybe she needs to have a girlfriend, a lesbian story line could be very interesting... I still believe that there is someone besides Dan that is really behind the business issues, I keep looking for someone from Claremont to pop up and be invovled in someway. Dan simply did not come from enough money and even as a CFO for a large company would not have made enough to be doing all of this... Am I the only one that thinks someone else is behind Dan??? I mean I can believe that Dan/Cary/Lark are all involved but just feel that there has to be a deep pocket out there as well... Now remember, at least one chapter a day, or my doctor will be contacting you to discuss how you will be responsible for my medical bills... Keep them coming... :worship:

Oh My f**king God...... This chapter was so well written and constructed, it is just unbelievable... Brad and Robbie's interaction in with David was so on point. I think Robbie is finally realizing how close he is to completely losing Brad. Robbie believed that he and Brad would survive this and now he isn't so sure, that was just heartbreaking, to see him realize that. Brad knows that he loves Robbie but wonders is that is enough to get them back to where they were in their relationship. After this chapter for the first time since about chapter 3, I believe that Brad and Robbie are going to make it. I think that Robbie will end up doing whatever it takes to hold onto Brad and Brad will overcome his anger and realize that Robbie is trully his soulmate. I am not saying either process will be easy or painless but I finally believe that they may survive this... Mark's writting on this story has been so good and honest and raw that it is just amazing. The emotions and feeling that have filled each chapter are so honest and true to life that I have become wrapped up in this story more than I thought possible. I still think there is someone besides Dan, Carson, Brandon, etc... involved in the business issue that we may not have seen yet. Keep these chapters coming, this is just great......

Another very well written chapter, I can't say it made me happy though... I do think that Brad knows that he loves Robbie, but will that love be enough to keep them together is the real question. I hope so but think even if they break up they would have to remain at least on friendly terms for the sake of the kid's... I don't think Brad is really behaving that irresponsibly with money, even buying the car for Kevin was something that he could afford easily and not something that put any strain on anyone's finances. Although he has shown a more volatile side during this crisis nothing has indicated that he would not be able to handle things in the future or immediately if something happened to JP or Stef. I really want to believe that Brad and Robbie with stay together in the long run. I want to believe that love can be enough to keep them together. I want to believe that they are truly soul mates. I want Brad and Robbie to both have that moment when they both realize how much they have to lose and find a way to make it work. Can't wait for the next chapter...

:wacko: :blink: Okay, saw this was up about 2:00 a.m. this morning but decided I wanted to be fresh and awake before reading it so, I put it off until this morning.... Glad I did so, this chapter really depressed me and just make me sad. It had a really good moment between Brad and Will and I really liked how that was handled but everything else just really depressed me... I am suprised as well that after getting caught once, by his brother, that Will would have forgotten to lock the door. Maybe he wanted his Dad to catch him to precipitate the conversation, Will might have decided it was easier than opening up about the issue verbally. I do like how Brad handled that, isn't that the way every parent should really do it??? Brad and Father Tim are getting closer and while I really like the Father Tim persona, I don't see them being able to overcome their diffrences to ever stay together in the end. This interlude just seems to be driving a wedge between Brad and his feelings for Robbie, not that Robbie isn't doing a good job doing that already... Robbie is driving me crazy as well, how could someone reach his level of professional achievment and not be better at reading people. I realize that love does blind people to other's actions but damn... I am not sure how I even feel after this chapter about Brad and Robbie staying together and that is so diffrent from when this story started. I have always felt that it was so nice to have a couple that had been together through all the crap they had to go through make it. I became so emotionally wrapped up in them surviving and getting together in " Man in Motion " that it is just hard to let that go, it almost feels to be a betrayal. I know people grow and sometimes grow apart but this is the one couple that really seemed to deep down want to make it work with each other... Okay Chapter 15 is up and is bitchin... I loved the interplay between Brad and Darius. I could really see Darius as the narrator for the next story, him going off to college maybe having a gay friend or roommate that doesn't come from a loving enviroment and helping him see that being gay is okay. I agree that two years is a big gap between Will and Drew and that would probably doom it, especially if they are in diffrent schools, middle school versus high school. OMG, an actual straight male figure skater, is that something that has ever actually occured??? LMAO... While I am not suprised about Lark somehow being involved in this, I am suprised that he would be Dan's boyfriend. Lark was always just straight and allowing a guy to service him and he and Dan never got along very well in their previous interactions. While I do believe that Dan, Lark, Brian, and Carson are all involved, I don't think we have met the person really behind all of this yet. None of those guys has the money to have started this and kept it going. Has anyone considered the fact that this maybe someone from Claremont? Could it be another Crampton, Schluters, or Hendricksons that are the ones actually bankrolling this? I just keep thinking this is more than just trying to get back at Brad for breaking someone's heart when he was young??? Well can't wait for the next chapter...

:wacko: Really, I miss one day of looking on here and find so many things to comment on... 1) I don't think Darius graduating from High School would be that big of a deal for Brad, Robbie, or the rest. I know for me at least going off to college was a much bigger deal than my High School graduation. Plus with this series often very important individuals or events come and go sometimes with very little notice, I still have never gotten over the fact that Tonto's death was never really covered. She was really one of my favorite people for most of the early stories in this series. I realize that Mark cannot cover everything that each of us believes is important so we have to give him the benefit of doing what he believes will move the story along. 2) I am also suprised by Brad's lack of consideration of the Bi option. I came of age in the late 70's and early 80's and did sleep with a few women, I figured out quickly that it wasn't for me, but knew and still know several men that consider themselves to be Bi. I honestly don't understant people that insist you have to be Gay or Straight. The idea that only one of those choices is permissable is just unacceptable to me. Although, I consider myself to be completely Gay, I don't see why anyone should limit themsleves if they don't want to. 3) While Russell Crowe has seemingly become very self important and isn't nearly as interesting as he use to be, check out some of his early work in Australian films. Some of his early work is really quite good. Look for " The Sum of Us ", this was the first thing I ever saw him in, " Proof ", " Romper Stomper ", and " The Crossing ". He had a certain light charm in his early work that he lost somewhere along the way, maybe working with Sharon Stone in " The Quick and the Dead " ??? Keep the chapters coming and the quality high, Mark you are an amazing writer and obviously have a great support staff... David

Okay, I am now starting to worry that Brad and Robbie will not survive this and that just kills me... I still hope they make it through this and can grow old together. Robbie has only been with Carson, but he really is/was at least a little bit in love with him. Brad has been with several and just seemed to be having fun but with Cody, Max, and now Father Tim; seems it is more than just fun. Brad has talked about how Robbie couldn't get involved with someone without having feeling but I think for all his talk Brad is somewhat the same way. This isn't to say he can't just have sex but Brad tends to bond with those he has sex with when it is more than just a f**k... Can't wait to see what Stef, more likely JP, found out about Dan Church. If he is tied to Carson and Brandon, and starting to look like they are involved as well, what/how is he getting these young guys to do his bidding? Are they just going along with it for money or sex? Does he have something on them? Did he find them and groom them for this or just pick them up on the way? Inquiring minds want to know??? I feel Carson may turn out to be just evil. I can't ever remember Cody going as far as saying that someone had a black soul, not even when he and Brian fell apart. Plus don't forget that Cody said that Dan Church sounded familiar and he wasn't around back during Be Rad or Man in Motion, so any knowledge of him would have to be more recent. The tech bubble burst in March 13th of 2000, a Monday. Will this story line run through that date?

:worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: Okay, chapters 12 and 13 are just great, beyond great, I feel this is some of the best in this series in a long time. I have gone back and forth of this story, mostly because I think Brad and Robbie belong together, but the writing is just great... I still want Brad and Robbie to end up together, I just like the idea of two men being able to make it in a relationship with just each other, yes I realize both have been with others on this little break but.... Are we sure it is Dan? No proof has been seen to give a definitive answer, although he was my choice. Is Carson going to be involved with him in some way, can't really tell yet myself, although I hope so... Bad Bad person for trying to break Brad and Robbie up... Okay, am I the only one that sees a problem with Brad taking this kid after giving the church a huge donation??? I can just see some right wing blowhard saying he bought the kid from this church... I think he is doing the right thing but just see where this could give ammunition to someone going after him. When is the next chapter coming out? Today? :D

Hell, I don't know hardly anyone that " Doesn't " have a sledge hammer in their garage!!! I don't work in any type of construction field and grew up in the country and you just never know when you might need one... I do not think Brad is being paranoid, I think what is happening to him and Robbie and Robbie's business by extension is all part of what is going on with Brad's and Steph's business. My question is someone that had that much money would not have been able to acquire it without others knowing, so why wouldn't Brad or someone know who else in their class is worth literally hundreds of millions of dollars?!?! I still am going to be very disappointed if Brad and Robbie don't end up staying together but I do think Brad is being a little bit of a slut during their time apart... I still do not think he should sleep with Matt, as he keeps hinting he might do if Robbie doesn't stay with him... I have gone back and reread the first five chapters of CAP and after reading Be Rad and Man in Motion, I do have someone in mind but can't figure out how they could have come up with that much money... Well this is getting very interesting, how about a chapter a day??? Just Kidding...

I will be really hearbroken if Brad and Robbie don't end up together, like JP and Stef from the first generation. Brad and Robbie have been through to much over the years not to end up together, maybe a few ups and downs but in the end they would only be happy with each other. Although I think it would be hot to have Brad and Matt sleep together, it would tear the family apart worse than anything that ever happened maybe even more than Billy's death. I am not sure that JJ, Darius, or Will would ever be able to move past it, nor am I sure that others in the extended family would either. I know that other storylines have had incest but this is basically between a parent and a child, no matter how you look at it in some respects, Matt is Brad's son.... Now having said that, I could see Wade and Brad sleeping together and that causing problems but in the end it working out... I know that many couples don't last a lifetime, just look at society, but I personally know many gay couples that have been together more than 40 years and are still going strong. Wouldn't it be nice if instead of just doing the salacious idea, we have a couple over come their issues and make it without going all " gay and trampy "... Not all gay men are sluts, what is wrong with portraying a couple as truly commited and working through the rough times and making it back stronger than ever???? Why do so many of these stories show gay men's libido as controlling everything in their lives??? Having said all that, I do love this story and have followed it faithfully since CAP began and will continue to stay with it and enjoy where Mark takes us....

This story is starting out just great... I hope you can keep it up and I really like how it appears that some of the story will take place in the past. Tonto was a almost my favorite person in this series and I would love to have more of her, even if it was in the past. Keep up the great work and we are awed as always...

I am so excited by the new story... While I love so many diffrent people from the stories, Tonto was always one of my favorite ones and I hope she gets some due in this new story via flashbacks. I always hated that her death was between stories, I felt she was so important to so many people that her death and funeral should have been truly celebrated. Now, about the box, this is Tonto we are talking about... Anything could be in the box and the secrets contained there in will rock not just the family but all of Claremont... Tonto was someone that had so many facets to her that this should be another nice long story. Maybe Isidore and Frank are already in Claremont for the festival? Frank is from there as well, maybe he dragged Isidore back and they will just happen to be in town. Stranger things have happened in Mark's world. It is a great and exciting world he has created. This story is already off to a great start and Mark already has us all excited. Bravo!!!
