Well maybe like in Poor Man's Son, we could have a split narration for a couple of chapters... I am just dying to know what Caroline is going to do to shot that damn sister in law of her's down...

I swear if JP was any smarter; he would be God... He handled the situation with Gathan perfectly. Gathan knows that he screwed up so there is no need for this huge lecture; just deal with the issue and figure out how to teach Gathan a better way of handling his money. I really liked how Scott explained the facts of life to Will, and how Will actually listened and seemed to understand. The scene with Will watching Scott was so hot and I can totally see in a couple of years a more intimate scene occuring. I wonder if there isn't something else going on with JJ and his behaviour toward Gathan. Could Zach have done something to JJ while he was out in California and JJ is blaming Gathan? Even for a diva, JJ is overdoing his reaction to Gathan.

Well, this was totally worth the wait; this is rapidly becoming my favorite story. I really enjoy the fact that Mark is able to draw us into the past with a story that deals to honestly with history but is still interesting enough to keep even those that aren't history buffs glued to their chairs. I really do think something will have to be done about Davina, George's sister-in-law. This underhanded attempt to get information to blackmail George on top of the attempt to steal Bertie's money, which I am sure she has as much or more to do with than Freddie, is just beyond the pale. I really think that maybe Caroline should arrange a tragic coach accident. This is another mark against Freddie as well, if he isn't strong enough to control his own wife then he isn't strong enough to be the Earl; maybe he should be in the coach as well... It is accurate that Nelson was able to trade the Spainish captain and officers for the captured British officers but I believe it happened at sea not on a side trip to Spain; but I could have misunderstood what I read when I was doing some research on this battle and the skirmishes that lead up to it. There are actually several recorded incidents where British generals or admirals wouldn't accept orders from superiors of the other branch; though rare each one seemed to cause auxillary issues. Granger has already refused to follow the orders of a superior officer when he was on the way to the West Indies and they found the lifeboat. The captain that came aboard was of a superior rank but Granger choose to follow previous orders rather than those of the officer on the scene. It was really considered bad form to come aboard a ship and try and take over from the Captain, especially if it was truly a Post Captain. Keep up the great work, and I think Mark needs to give us some type of update of what is going on in London....

I really enjoyed the latest chapter of Poor Man's Son. I am finally getting into the Gathan side of the story as much as I have been into the Will side. I think that Mark is finally making Gathan a more fully realized persona. I personally thought that Gathan handled his side of the conversation about as well as could be expected when faced with a total bigot like Chris Hendrickson. It is obvious that despite all his supposed breeding and manners he cares more about his family's social position and money than he does his own daughter. I grew up in a family very much in the mold of the Hendrickson family. An impressive pedigree and a lot of land but only so much money. I was raised to believe that manners and breeding was very important but not as important as being true to oneself. You can never allow someone to treat you like a doormat, even if they are older and believe it is their right to do so. I guess growing up in Texas might be different then in some places but as much as we value breeding and manners nothing is more important than being true to onself; and Gathan is nothing if not true to himself. Now, I know that it can be a fine line; but if you don't respect and take yourself seriously, then why should anyone else???

Welll truly enjoyed the latest chapter of St Vincent, this story is growing on me more with each chapter. I do find that researching and finding out information on the events that really occured at this time has made this story more fun to experience. I think that Mark is doing a great job of integrating real history into this drama. I am able to picture Nelson and he matches up so well with how I view him from my reading of the histories of this time. I really think the time and expertise that Mark is getting into this story is marvelous. I do find that Granger seems to be running into everyone else having sex but he doesn't seem to me having as much luck getting any lately; although it wouldn't hurt him to have a dry spell and then when he gets back to London he and Lord Chartley can have one hell of a reunion. You can imagine the terror that those two marines felt being discovered by the Captain and then their relief at his reaction. I do find it a little odd that our " spy " is with the Spainish Captain but maybe Granger got him so worked up he just couldn't help himself... Keep up the great work on this story and series, Mark...

Great Chapter.... I really did not see that one coming, Darius is my hero too... I loved the interaction between Darius, Will, and JJ. I really liked how Will and Pat were reacting to each other. Robbie was great in getting to the heart of the matter with Will about what happened all those years ago in Paris.
-
I don't think whatever is going on in Bakersfield is a rave. I sense something serious going on here and think this may prove to be very important. Does Darius know who his real father is? Did Bitsy ever tell anyone? I wonder how everyone else in the extended family is going to take the knowledge of JP's true parentage. I just sort of doubt this all stays quite. This seemed to be a really good bridge chapter that is leading up to some major action.

I strongly agree with this. American culture has always had a strong puritanical streak running through it. I think that the majority of Americans even in 2011 would be horrified by the idea of a 13/14 year old male or female stripping in a club in front of an audience. Probably because I was sexually active at about the same age, I don't have an issue with Will being a sexual being at that age, but even I have issues with him being sexualized in a public setting. In addition, I was having brunch Sunday with a friend of mine here in Austin that is pretty high up on the tech side of Apple. He says that many phones in use in 2000 could have taken pics of Will stripping but probably not video. He says that while there were a few phones that had the technology in 2000 they were very expensive and the average person would not have had one. In addition, they did not work very well with a lot of movement. Jared says that with Will moving around a pole and being that much in motion along with the darkness and flashing lights from the club, that the resolution would have been horrible and no one could have probably been able to tell who the dancer was. He said it was really the end of 2002 before there was a phone with video technology that was in general use in the public. So if there is video of this stripper act, then it was probably shot on a camcorder; and wouldn't someone have noticed that and stopped it?
-
OMG, I just knew that JP would announce his relationship to the Hendricksons at just the right moment and boy did he.... Loved It... This isn't just going to affect what is going on in that room but will reverberate throughout Claremont and beyond. I thought the scene between Will and Roberto was just pitch perfect. I think Will is going to have to make some decisions soon and I can't wait to see how he handles it. I do think the stripping in the club is gonna comeback to bite him on his ass but not sure how or even when. I wonder if it will be John that finds the video of this and then boy howdy watch everything hit the fan... LOL...

I have mixed feelings on this post. I don't agree with the first statement but only have my personal experience and that of my brothers, cousins, and nieces and nephews to fall back on. I and most of them grew up in a small town in Texas, 6500 people. There was only three things you could really do and that was either get drunk, do drugs, or have sex. I will say that probably over 60 percent of those I knew had sex of one type or another before they were 14 years old. I don't include masturbation in this, I mean either oral, vaginal, or anal sex. Maybe growing up in small town, it was easier to do because you sort of know everyeone and after a couple of people do it, you just sort of decide what the hell. I did most of the things that the original poster did in the second sentence. I never skipped school or cheated and did a lot of social activities, a lot where church related; this was a small town in Texas... LOL... I don't think I have ever done anything in my life just because someone said I couldn't or shouldn't. I was raised to believe that I needed to look at the situation and decide if it was right for me or if the consenquences were within reason if I just wanted to try it. I don't think it ever pays to generalize a situation, exactly because everyone brings a divergent view point and background to the show...

I am getting into this discussion late but have been out of town for several days. I really agree with the above statement. I was the 13/14 year old that started having sex and doing crazy things and really never slowed down until my late 30's. I was lucky and never caught anything other than crabs twice but was always pretty careful as well. Most of the other guys and gals that I knew that started having sex or getting a little crazy at that early age didn't slow down until decades later if ever. Now, I knew a couple of people that were always so quite and almost withdrawn in their teens that went hog wild once they were away from parents and at college but they only seemed to do that for a year or two and then got on a more even keel. Everyone is different and I don't think it is ever a good thing to generalize a situation. My issue with Will was stripping in public. I don't have an issue with him being sexually active but it just seems that doing what he did could have put him at great risk. I thought the scene was well written but it just made even me a little uncomfortable.

I agree about the slip up's. I have a friend that the ultrasound showed it was clearly a girl; she painted the room pink and yellow and got all girl stuff for the baby and when it was born, guess what??? It was a boy. They said the fetus must have had the penis tucked up when the ultrasounds were done, there was at least three that all showed it was gonna be a girl... This was actually only last year. I think that Jeanine should only have one child and it should be a girl, they need another girl for that generation... I think that Robbie should be the father. Brad doesn't need another kid and I think that Cody being the dad would lead to just way more drama than even this story needs. Having said that, I like the idea of Tiffany having fraternal twins, a son by Wade and a daughter by Matt. I don't know why I like this idea but it really appeals to me for some reason. It will just add another bond for Matt and Wade to have together.

Loved, Loved, Loved the latest chapter of this story. I find it remarkable that Mark can blend history and fiction and draw us all into this amazing world so easily. This is a talent that so few writers possess. I think it is so interesting that Granger is able to compartmentalize his mental functions so that he is able to deal with all the reality around him; while remaining sane and relatively lucid. I cannot image how hard it would be to command a ship while a officer that is in charge of the group is also on your ship. I hope that the next chapter gets out of editing quickly as this was just a tease of what lays ahead for Granger. I have to admit with all this action; I was able to forget about the situation in London for a while but still am dying to know how that will be resolved. Battles at sea are interesting but " Family " battles are always more so... Keep up the reMARKable, job Mark... :worship: :worship: :worship:

God, I miss Tonto.... :( I really did enjoy the latest chapter but was having a little trouble with the idea of any thirteen year old stripping in public like that. I know that in Europe the age issue is a little more flexible, and Will does look older, at least the way I picture him but still. I am not sure I like the idea of a thirteen year old being such a sexual public figure. The idea of a thirteen year old having sex with someone one on one doesn't bother me that much but such a public display just seems a little icky...

Hmmm, well you obviously haven't been to a campus in Texas recently... Not sure if we are alone with the trend or what, but every other guy here is back in skin tight Wrangler or Levi jeans; and I don't mean the relax fit I mean the tight fit... I started noticing it here about a year ago and it seems to be getting more prevelant. Of course, Texas does follow the beat to it's own drummer...

Well, what to say about the latest chapter of PMS???? LOVED IT!!!!! I always knew that Will was gonna turn out to be more of a top than a bottom, I am not sure that he is gonna even be as versatie as his father. I think if Will wasn't as into Roberto as he is that he wouldn't be bottoming at all after the first time. I think that Will was showing his age a little bit with the issue of the clothing. That is the first time in a long time in this story that I remembered that Will was only 13. I sort of liked JP's reaction to the the clothes, and I think the picture is sort of like one where the baby is on a bear skin rug naked; it is that picture to embaress the kid in a few years... Like the last poster, I too wondered if Kristin has been molested by her father or what is going on. When she was talking to Gathan, she hinted that there was more to the story of her accusation but I don't think Gathan really caught what she was saying. I wonder how Claire would feel about a second houseguest in Palo Alto this fall???

Okay, first of all, I really enjoyed the latest chapter of PMS. I really loved that Will got to go surfing in Italy and prove that he is just Bad Ass... I really think that Zach is going to cause problems for not just Gathan but others as well. He just really seems to have no respect for himself much less anyone else. A tragic accident in his future, hmmm maybe??? Okay now on to the current discussion on if Will or Gathan would sleep with an HIV + person using protection, and I say yes to both of them. Now, I know that no sex is truly safe unless you are not having it but as long as you are taking the proper precautions you are much more likely to get bitten by a shark then contract HIV; and I know that someone is going to bitch about that statement but.... If you are using protection with the added protection of being on top; the risk is amazingly low. I don't think that Will or Gathan would be scared off from sleeping with someone that they cared about just because the person is HIV positive. I think that Will especially because he has been raised in an atmosphere of education and honesty would understand the risk but also would understand the human element involved. I can't see Will being either shallow or rude enough to reject someone because of their HIV status. I actually think that Gathan would have more of an issue simply because he hasn't been raised in as educated and open enviroment, but do believe he would understand that with protection the risk is unbelievably small.

The latest chapter was excellent. I really do feel that Mark has a great way of drawing us all into the battles. I know that some of it is because we really care about the people in the stories but Mark is also able to make the battles relevant and interesting. I wonder if it will be Preston or Granger that gets captured and is ransomed by the return of the Spanish Captain? One of the British Captains was captured while trying to rescue a seamen and was then ransomed back for the captured Spanish Captain. I could really see Granger risking himself to save one of his men. I know the battle is excitting but I want to know what is going on in London..... Please!!!!!! Keep up the great work Mark, and I know that the next one will be a little bit of a wait... :,(

In response to all the recent post - YOU CANNOT REWRITE HISTORY... IT JUST NEVER WORKS... I too mourn Jeff, his death still haunts me and I start crying several chapters before it happens when I go back to re-read this series. Having said that, I would change nothing about this series, Mark has done a wonderful job creating a truly interesting group of people that affect so many of us in different ways. Be happy that he allows us a glimpse into this place and stop the backseat writing, so to speak...

Well, really enjoyed the latest chapter of PMS. I think the dual story lines are both developing in a way that enables them to be seperate but able to come back together when they need to. I wasn't so sure when the dual narration started that I was going to like it but it has proven to be very entertaining. I really like how Will handled the situation with Roberto's size. It is so easy in that situation to say the wrong they and cause your partner to feel bad or react in a negative manner. Plus, the smaller size will help Will when he bottoms for the first time. Still wondering about this contest, there really was no hint in this chapter; bad author... LOL. Is Kristen a year behind Gathan? I was thinking they were both seniors about to go off to college but they way she talks, she will be in high school next year. JP will have to come back to town and settle her parents down. I can see Zach deciding to cause all kinds of problems not just for Gathan but for Brent and anyone else that he can. Why is there one in every group??? Keep up the great work Mark, this is turning into a wonderful addition to the CAP series.

Really enjoyed the latest chapter of St.Vincent, this one looks to be another gateway chapter that leads to other things. I can't help but wonder about Captain Preston, there is just something else there but can't tell what. I believe that Mark is doing a remarkable job of conveying how charismatic Nelson was in real life. History is filled with stories of how inspiring and overwhelming he was in person. It looks like we are in for a few good chapters of his exploits leading the way. I do think that Granger will always remember Travers with a deep love and heartfelt sadness. I think in many ways we never forget our first love and that relationship often effects each of those that come after it. I still miss Travers but understand that his death fit the storyline. I still want to know what is going on in London though Mark, maybe Caroline could narrate part of or all of a chapter to update that situation??? Keep up the great work.

And they are so worth the wait, this is the best story series on this site; CAP coming a close second for me..... :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Did you ever jack off with your brother?
centexhairysub replied to Mark Arbour's topic in Mark Arbour Fan Club's Topics
I had two brothers, one 21 months younger than me and the other 10 years younger than me. I did compare and jack off with the one closest to me in age but never with the younger one. I think with this part of the issue would be how close in age the brothers are. Another issue would be how old they are when they are doing it? I mean if they are 12 and 14 years old or are they 19 and 21 years old? I would think the cut off for most would be three or four years difference in age.
