  1. After reading through the posts for the last two chapters, my first thought was "but Will was RAPED!" There is nothing on this Earth that can shatter the psyche of a completely sane adult male, let alone that of a 14 yr old BOY like that of being raped. The pedophile Martin should be counting his blessings that he survived his encounter with Will, I don't think he'd have been so lucky under other circumstances. The attitude of some in here almost sounds like the old "Well he had it coming"... Just sayin'.
  2. Scorched earth, I reckon! The fact that Brad and Robbie would walk off and leave Will in that situation to begin with just shows how far up their a**es they both have their heads planted. They should have stuck around long enough to see that the situation was reasonably settled before taking off into the wild blue. If they ever have an ongoing relationship with Will after this, I don't see it happening anywhere in the near term. I think that Will is in need of far more intensive therapy than he's received up to this point. IF and until the Paris situation is resolved he won't be able to move past it, or any of the rest of the upheaval being heaped on him. That so-called child psychologist should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for child abuse as well as criminal sexual abuse of a child, as well as any and all civil remedies available. If I really cared, I'd suggest that Brad and Robbie find a remote corner of the world to hide in for a while, as I expect that the rest of the family will be after their hides when they find out what's happened. At this point I wouldn't piss on 'em if they burst into flames right before my eyes. Ah, isn't fiction induced insomnia just grand!
  3. I have to agree with centex and Canuk on all their points... and I can only hope Dennis Martin turns out to be a comic foil for Will's shenanigans. JJ's sell out of Will brings back so many memories. Good job Mark!
  4. Finally! That explains it all!
  5. I still don't think Matt gets it. He may abide by Wade's wishes, but I can't help but think he's still clueless. I still see a self-inflicted train wreck in his future.
  6. Wade needs to kick Matt's arrogant, ignorant ass to the curb.
  7. Pfft... Wait 'til your 30th birthday is old enough to drink, then we'll talk.
  8. Not to change the subject, but what's up with putting a squirrel in cardinals rags and why abuse the poor critter like that?
  9. I was always told my singing could raise the dead, but...
  10. ♫ Where o' where are you too-night? ♫ ♫ Why did you le-e-eave me here all alone? ♫ ♫ I searched the world over and thought I'd found true love, ♫ ♫ You met a-noth-er and PFFFT you were gone! ♫ Hope life is treating you well, things are settling down and you're able to relax and clear your mind, Mark.
  11. I don't know if the guidelines have changed in the last year or so, but if we were exposed at work we were tested immediately and barring a positive first test, started on the cocktail for 12 months. Followup testing occurred at 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. One was not considered clear of the possibility of seroconversion until the 12 month test came back negative.
  12. Although it's a bit of a shock to consider it, I can see JP being quite active at 75. My Mother will turn 75 July 19th, and even after a double knee replacement three years ago, shoulder repair last year, three fused vertebrae last February, and major neck surgery in the near future, she's still taking care of herself, her home, and pool. If she tires of that, she hops in her MKX, opens the sunroof, rolls the windows down and drives up to an hour or so to visit friends and relatives. The car gets little chance to cool off. I can only hope I'm half as mobile as she is at her age. Of course a lot of the thanks goes to Barnes-Jewish and her doctors in St. Louis.
  13. If I may interject... I live out in the sticks, hours from the nearest metropolitan area, and back in the day I was online with my new computer and it's screaming fast 1200 baud modem, chatting in gay chats on IRC and AOHell in '94. Granted, there was no one in my neighborhood to hook up with, but online hookups were going on in the chats way back then, though over much longer distances...
  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK! MAY YOU BE BLESSED WITH MANY, MANY MORE! (Aside from the fact that it is Friday the 13th...)
  15. Yes, it started a beautiful weekend in Southern Illinois, had my annual GayMayDay picnic on Saturday before the second round of flooding rains started that evening. Sadly, we've had another 5" of rain since, following the 15" of rain the weekend prior, sending both the Ohio and Mississippi rivers to record crests flooding thousands of square miles here in the heartland.
  16. It's been a wonderful long weekend filled with family. My nephew I raised is leaving for Afghanistan in six weeks or so, so I'm trying to spend as much time with him and his family as I can manage.
  17. I'm going to go with Episcopalian. I am a Methodist and I've also attended a local progressive United Church of Christ congregation and I don't recall them referring to their pastor as anything but Reverend. http://www.goodshepherd-ucc.org/index.html
  18. :nuke: Okay, so it was another awesome chapter... Patiently awaiting chapter 49...
  19. Thrill and adventure seeking - you score 8 out of 10 This consists of items expressing desires to engage in sports or activities involving some physical danger or risk such as mountain climbing, parachute jumping, scuba diving, speeding in a car, etc. Experience seeking - you score 6 out of 10 This descibes the desire to seek new experiences through the mind and senses by living in a nonconforming life style with unconventional friends, and through travel. Disinhibition - you score 7 out of 10 This describes the need to disinhibit behaviour in the social sphere by drinking, partying and seeking variety in sexual partners. Boredom susceptibility - you score 3 out of 10 This indicates an aversion for repetitive experience of any kind, routine work, or even dull or predictable people. Other items indicate a restless reaction when things are unchanging. Your total sensation seeking score is 24 out of 40 Hmm... So that's why my former career sucked...
  20. Excellent chapter, Mark! When's Chapter 45 posting?
  21. Another fine chapter put to bed, read and enjoyed. If patience is a virtue, I'm burning in hell.
  22. Yeah! What he said!
  23. I saw, I read, I'm enthralled once again. Okay, where's Chapter 17?
  24. Okay, so usually I know if a story is gonna 'click' within the first few paragraphs, I'll normally go a couple of chapters, but I could never get into the other story like I have CAP. I suppose, from what I've seen, I must be missing something, so maybe I'll try it again.
