Very well done. Sometimes we try to over figure things instead of just taking the time to appreciate the ride!

Another short chapter, but it went well. Jackie is a hoot.
-
Well there went taking his time in getting to know Trey before getting too involved.... I know, I know, they both feel like they've known each other for a while. Of course, they are fairly young, hung and perpetually horny.

These chapters are tantalizing but short! On to the next....

"Was it something I said?" I laughed out loud as the dialogue was so true to life. Of course, I am not sure that he actually gives the blind dates much of a chance as he seems to think of them as more of a chore than an opportunity..... In any event, this chapter has introduced Trey, whom I suspect is the other main character. Good job.

Just started reading this one Renee and already love it. Why is it that some people just have to play match-maker? I think everyone has known someone that thinks that is one of their talents or calling in life. On the other hand, having a supportive family is a refreshing change from all the uptight, preachy, throw the "sinner" out stories.

CARDINALS vs. RED SOX will be an exciting series. The BoSox got through to the Tigers, especially their bullpen and I think St. Louis has a much better one. Our young pitchers have been awesome so far, they just have to take it up to the next level! This will be the 4th meeting of the two teams in a World Series and St. Louis leads the series 2-1. October Baseball! World Series Baby!

Stan Musial, the first ballot Hall of Fame honoree, and a Cardinal for his whole career wore #6 and his number was retired by the Cardinals years ago. He died this year and the Cards all have a patch with the number six on the sleeves of their uniforms. The Cardinals just won the National League Championship in six games. I heard someone has forecast the Cardinals will win the World Series in six. It would be awesome if it could work out that we honor Musial (number 6) that way. DDK

Granger still has no idea that the Bacchante is lost, that Maidstone is dead, that Bertie's letters are in Davey Jones locker or that the officers of the Santa Clarita, or that Jacobs and Winkler have all arrived safely back in London. Instead he is cooling his heels in Paris and got to meet several members of the directorate. including the boorish de La Révellière-Lépeaux whom he tried to charm and when that failed, instead baited him. How aristocratic! Good thing, the other members seem to have decided he will indeed be paroled. Hopefully that will be sooner rather than later as M. Talleyrand seems to enjoy getting paid hosting the POW. Nice to see posting seems to be back on schedule.

Tea Party Movement and the Red Guard of the Cultural Revolution
Daddydavek commented on W_L's blog entry in Life is worth an entry
The members of Congress all take an oath of office to both protect and defend the United States and it's Constitution. Passing a budget is defined as part of their constitutional duty. Their dereliction of duty bordered on treason. Even several members of the Republican Party gave speeches in the House and in the well of the Senate reminding members that there are three branches of government and that to pass a law, it must pass both the House and Senate and be signed into law by the president. I see exactly the point W_L is trying to make and he is right. The current resolution, just kicks the can down the road with no substantive resolution of the underlying problems. The GOP's strict adherence to "no new taxes" interpretation as also preventing them from closing egregious loopholes or passing anything that would enhance revenue, like comprehensive immigration reform is counter-productive. There is plenty of blame to go around but I think the polls showing the American people are tired of the dysfunctional Congress are correct and all members need to be wary of the next round of elections in November 2014. -
Well now its official, Granger will be the last to arrive back in London. His Odyssey is still not over, but he did receive assurance he would be paroled at the dinner party. Caroline seems to have not incurred too much wrath from Spencer as evidenced by his gracious early warning about the news. It also looks like she should soon be apprised of George's location through the banking system and Talleryrand's action. A very satisfying chapter! More please!

Yeah, but it's a gay story. While Will was a very early bloomer and big for his age, Ethan may be just the opposite. He may not favor the Danfields at all and take after his mother's side of the family. I see many ways that Mark can go with this. It is fun to speculate and throw out ideas. My idea is that Wade will be on the west coast and perhaps the young half-brother is a lost soul that needs someone and wants a change of scenery. Not so far fetched....

Senator Danfield and his attorney had things sewn up well after the divorce and wasn't a surprise 15 year old half-brother a surprise. A boarding school boy the same age as Will. Hmm. Well done. More please!

The trio after their separate pursuits finally have a joint fun adventure truly worthy of the name. Well done. More please!

My "admiration" for the US politicians is reaching all time highs ;)
Daddydavek commented on paya's blog entry in Tropical Paradise
I think all members of Congress should have to run at large in their state just like Senators so that members have to actually represent the diversity in their states instead of the select districts tailor made to reelect them. This single idea would take gerrymandering and throw it out the window. -
I agree, and I hope it's this year!

A Place No Longer Home
Daddydavek commented on Sasha Distan's story chapter in A Place No Longer Home
"Home is where the heart is," that's for sure! -
New beginnings are a chance to pick your friends. I wish you the best in Iowa. The people I know from Iowa have all been down to earth decent people and I hope you find them that way too. Good Luck and keep on keeping on!

Chapter 47 started out from JP's POV and explained a lot especially about Brad. The switch to Wade was just as satisfying. Elizabeth was put in her place and it was all done according to protocol, how droll! The end of the chapter even had some slutty behavior. A fully satisfying read. My only regret is that Matt didn't make the call to Carullo and wind up both him and Will.....
-
Trust Mark to find a sexy way to end a chapter that was all about tying up some details including laying out things for Brad by JP. It included Wade deposing Elizabeth as chief mourner and setting the details for the funeral. Technically excellent and soulfully satisfying. More please!

Cards won both games 1 & 2 and now the action will move to LA starting on Monday for 3 games. Both were pitchers duels!
