Do you really think Charles will be okay with anything that makes Angel stronger and happier? I'm so glad you like the story. This one is kind of close to my heart for lots of reasons. Angel is a little love, but somewhat oblivious. Msrcus is his strong protector and Charlie keeps everyone's feet on the ground

They're both on the edge. Marcus has had more time to think about it than Angel. I genuinely believe he's never thought about Marcus like that and it's taken him completely by surprise. He's confused by Marcus' behviour and thinks it's his fault, which it kind of is.

I think it would be frustrating for anyone. It would drive me nuts, I know that. There's a lot of work ahead, but they've definitely turned a corner.

Thank you. That really is high praise. Alex had to blow at some point. He's been so strong and stable for Kei, but he's still very young himself, and no one can be that strong and together forever. I'm just glad they met their new friend.

Getting Kei to the spa had been hell. Even though they had a special car with wheelchair access, it was a nightmare getting him into it, and he was horribly car sick all the way. By the time they got there, he was thoroughly miserable and exhausted. The first thing he did when they were shown to their cabin was be sick in the bathroom. Rose is awesome. She's the antithesis of Bonnie. She cares passionately for both boys and will do anything in her power to make it work for them. Unlike Kei's parents she puts the boys first and not herself. The future is definitely looking brighter, but don't you think Alex had just been too good to be true and coped a little too well with it all?

Thank you! My goal in writing this was to get away from the - bad thing happens but it's all better in a week - situation. I did a lot of research into this condition, including timescales and setbacks. Of course, some of the set backs are external - like Kei's parents, but mostly it's his own recovery which IS often frustrating and not always in a smooth line. I'm glad you mentioned that not even Alex' unwavering devotion can't last forever. You can only be strong for so long

Kei's parents just aren't the kind of people to give up. They get the message in the end, though. Rose is amazing and she really comes through for them in the end
