    A great panoply of Pride, Federico García Lorca's Oda a Walt Whitman has never been properly translated into English. Here for the first time is the work in the spirit in which this tremendous Gay artist created it – a reclaiming of turf; a pronouncement that we have always been here, and are not going away; a celebration of our diversity. Coming from a man who was to be killed for his orientation 9 years after this poem's publication, nothing could be more impactful for the LGBT+ Community today.
    This poem celebrates Us through the auspices of not one great Gay poet, but two!

    Poems of suffering and peace from a nearly forgotten master. Hans Ehrenbaum-Degele was killed in action in July, 1915, 26 years of age. His partner and friends brought out his Das tausendste Regiment ("The Thousandth Regiment") posthumously in 1917. Whether or not his work has been ignored because he was Gay, it's time to bring his name forward and place it with the other great WW1 poets, where he has always belonged.
