Enforcer - 18. Epilogue

em>(Note: Both Chapter 17 and the Epilogue were posted at the same time.)

At Jed’s side, Buzz followed their alpha. They darted through the trees, following the river line.

His heart raced, his senses on high alert. Since Shell’s kidnapping, they had stepped up their training and exercise routines. With the threat of the hunters on them, it was more important than ever that they be at one with their alpha. Especially with the little ones they now had in the pack.

Buzz looked up into the sky, letting the moon’s rays wash over him. He turned to his mate. Even though Jed was in his wolf shape, Buzz could have sworn he had a smile on his face.

Buzz understood. There was nothing better than running with your pack at night under the light of the moon.

With his new brothers and sisters, he was no longer afraid to be himself. They embraced him as one of their own. Even Jed’s parents had taken him in, insisting he call them “Mama” and “Dad.” He felt strange doing so at first, but the love they showed him even from the start made it easy.

He was free, mated to Jed Stone. He would never be scared, never be alone. Not with Jed and his pack-mates at his side. They were his family. They would die for him, and Buzz would do the same. Not just because of duty, but because of respect. Because of love. Buzz now knew the difference.

Colton came to a stop and Buzz stopped with him. He stared at Colton, watching his body language, waiting for an instruction.

The alpha wolf’s dark eyes sought out each of his pack-mates before he turned and ran, ramping up to full speed in mere seconds.

Buzz gave chase, his eyes never straying from Colton. All of his other senses were on high alert, searching for anything that might be out of place around him. Jed was at his side, but Parker was there too, and Trey on the other side of the alpha-mate.

The wolf pack burst from the forest, skidding to a halt in the clearing of Camp Timber: Colton, Parker, Trey, Jed, then Buzz.

The rest of the pack stood around the bonfire, waiting to greet them. Buzz looked around the camp and took it all in.

He was home.

Blast. I completely ate this sequel up so fast. If you ever revisit this series, I'm certain that my face will be glued to my computer screen once again. Now, let me think...the suspense and danger in this one felt like higher stakes than the first book. I feared for Buzz's and Jed's lives, almost the entire time. I liked how we were shown some of the other packs when they all gathered. I loved the collaborations between the packs and that Parker and Colton were able to keep Christopher. We saw Jed's woes progress from one frustration to the next (PTSD, disinterest, mate overload, rejection...). Poor guy had it rough for a good while there. I liked that Buzz was assimilated into the pack seamlessly and that we got to see his and Jed's point of view whenever they observed Colton and Parker's dynamics, like when Parker was ticked off that he wasn't allowed to fight, ha ha ha. The 'circle' fight between Jed and Roy was both great and gross (in the visuals that it prompted, I mean).  The hormonal Shell was hilarious, as well. I freaked out when she was taken, as I didn't expect it. I'm also still quite surprised that his old pack allowed Buzz to stay with them, but I won't look a gift horse in the mouth, it was a relief. As usual, the interactions between the couples were progressive and searing hot. I really enjoyed it; just as much as the first one!

Rob: Thank-You for another great story of the Timber Pack. Hope to see more of this pack. You could go so many ways with another book or two. You could do a story on Zef, expansion of The Timber Wolf Pack. Maybe people leaving Buzz's old pack or as someone else mentioned even some from Forest Hill. I was even thinking Derek challenging Colton with Colton winning and taking over Dereks Pack. I wish I had the talent you guys have to write stories. I Love this site.

OMG Rob, thank you soooo much !! I absolutely LOOOVED it - this story I read for the 1st time.- but I lost count to how many times I read the 1st book.

Please delight your followers with Book No. 3🥺

I loved your description of Alpha Miller, he sounded so effing sexy. Zef is such a lovable, cute woolf. I wish he had finished his talk with Buzz. Zef doesn't have a Trey or a Jed to talk to. He must feel lonely and needs someone to talk to.

Also, what's happening with Shell and Curtis - has their baby arrived yet ?

Colton's awkwardness with his Dad needs closure - they need to talk and put it to rest. Also that jerk Seth and his assholish friends need to see him as he really is. If Colton's old pack still remembers how he won his fight with Seth, maybe when the present Alpha retires, they won't let Seth take his place and ask Colton instead ??

As for Derek and Shauna, I guess their fate will be 6ft under ... I can't see any other way.

I do hope you write Book 3 asap ... I'm on the edge of my seat ! That's how excited I am about it !!  Happy Clapping GIF by Originals

Rob you are a master story teller , no one can weave a story quite like you....I have lost count of how many times I have read the Timber Pack Chronicles and Enforcer. Both here on GA and on Lit. I just can't seem to get enough of my favorite pack mates and their families. There are so many questions to still be answered. I have read all of your stories and have loved each and everyone of them from Bobby, and Big Ben right down to Tim and Hank...I come back here frequently to check and see if you have posted anything new. I know you have probably been asked this hundreds of times, but are you going to be writing a third Timber Pack book ? All of your readers are quietly hoping the answer is yes and are patiently waiting to see if you will... Thank You for many hours of enjoyable reading and for sharing your wonderful talent with us.
