Finding A Voice - 7. Chapter 7

Please enjoy the following poems 'Broken Wings', 'Pressure', and 'Without'.

Broken Wings

My mind floats scenes of love.

My heart pure as a dove.

Loving you was never easy.

Soul spinning, always dizzy.

Living only for your kiss,

knowing feeling amiss.

Your heart in neutral.

Love divided, I could not tell.

My love had angelic wings.

I dreamt exchanging rings.

Uncertain of now and then,

for now my wings broken.

My love never questioned.

Here, always mentioned.

Singleness you only see.

Open your eyes, look at me!

Still in love with the past.

Hoping, dreaming that it'd last.

Pray, for your sake, that it will.

Your heart broken, going downhill.

My love had angelic wings.

I dreamt exchanging rings.

Uncertain of now and then,

for now my wings broken.

Searching answers, finding none.

Always tired, never done.

Your heart little peace.

You are busy, never cease.

Yet, you know me...

I have seen you free!

Laughing, drinking, fun,

and making a pun.

Now my wings are broke.

Telling you now, not a joke.

My feelings are so true.

Always sad and blue.

Grateful for you in my live,

you and him, causing strife.

Cannot be with me, I know.

Too in love with you to let go.

So, I'll dream of you and me,

while crying over you and he.

With your picture, my only token,

for now, my wings broken.

Pressure

How the hell can I prove myself,

if everyone is condescending?

Pushed pride back to the shelf.

No longer will I be pretending.

Ask for a hand, all I get is jack!

Hypocrites are always hiding.

Bloody dagger ripped out of my back!

Tripped on a friend, now I'm sliding.

What in Hades happened?

Finally, life has ended.

O, brave new world!

Lying on the floor, curled.

Where am I going in this mess?

Weak as Atlas, thorns in my heart.

Who will be the first to confess?

Why do I feel ripped apart?

Stressed from college, gave me life.

Instead they gave me the shaft!

Alone with the mind of a thief.

In the ocean, sinking, no relief.

Parents add to the pain,

chaotic scene they gave.

Disregarding many a stain,

sending me to an early grave.

What in Hades happened?

Finally, life has ended.

O, brave new world!

Lying on the floor, curled.

Will anything be the same?

Will I be better off because of this?

Will anything ever be sane?

Only known to the Greatness.

Without

The world that I pass through

an abyss

a void

without your touch

your warm embrace

a kiss upon lovers' lips

I breathe

stale and stagnant

Where did the sweetness go?

It did leave when you left.

Yet,

your shadow remains

in that bright light.

In every dream, you are with me

through this harsh reality

resting in tranquil bliss.

Every waking moment

before the sleep is out

your face is there

to reassure our love.

A heart that has ached since gone.

Juliet's pain, surpassed.

Eve's longing for Paradise Lost,

I know all too well.

Banshee's wail like a Siren's song,

compared to this blaring silence

I endure every wasted second

without you.

I know it has been a while since the last chapter, but here is a new one! So comment, feedback, any adjustments. Thank you for reading!!
