Finding A Voice - 5. Chapter 5

Here are Chonos, Echoes, and Heartache. Please enjoy.

Chronos

Sands flowing endlessly

Hands flying quickly

hickory dickory doc

tick toc, tick toc.

Memories brief

Pictures speak

Scars remind of

forgotten childhood

Haunted with

could have

should have

would have

Pendulum constant

Forward movement

Never slowing

Never tiring.

Echoes

Memories flood back into my dormant mind.

Love, lust, passion; anger, betrayal, heartache.

Fingers dance over a weathered photo.

Heart in pieces finding little peace.

Rising breeze pushing a misting drizzle.

Shutter possess me as a mark nears.

A bench, facing south, in morning dark.

Upon wet wooden marker, gazing forward.

Skyline lights; Orion looking down,

hypnotic crash of water on rock,

aroma of the sweet saltiness,

I feel your arms and kisses cover me.

Raindrops fall on my lips, cheek.

Lightly wetting, ever reminding,

an echo haunting the winds.

Sounding of you, sweetly smelling, you.

Eyes open, echo lingers still, intensifying...

gone with breeze, stale air returns.

Rising, lowering heavy head and lonely heart.

Water under a barge,

rippling sand dunes,

here you did judge,

I changed, stronger like the moon.

Heartache

Lukewarm tears stream down my fiery, crimson face.

Pain invokes horror at the sight of a slightly beating heart.

Dreams sour into nightmares of terrifying cold sweats.

Hope crashes the Glass Menagerie to save what's left.

Brightest star in the midnight sky lost it's will to shine.

I lay motionless, within the darkness, of my empty bed.

I remember your deceitful ways, hurt you inflicted,

the lies that manifested to truth I know today.

Above dear friends I have know longer, you placed.

My soul, my life, my air, my biggest lesson.

Blood family asked, "Are you sure? The One?"

I said, "Yes. His song make the world turn!"

I forgave when you cheated.

Cried when you left, happy when you called.

Knowing my lack of affection, I could give more.

My heart tumbled downhill, obsessed.

You then found one who could stimulate.

Admitting feeling I had never left.

Something that never did when you carried forth,

an ending with me so you could carry on.

Your attention please, to those, 'Gay Days'

"Happiest Place on Earth", ha! "Hand Basket to Hell!"

You wanted your strawberries and cream.

I, the better, said no to make us happy.

I made you made, quickly your back did turn.

I left for joy, the only reason why, to those Days.

You bitched, my balls grew scaring both of you.

We yelled, you pulled over, I climbed out.

You drove away without remorse, from me to rot.

I grew wiser doing the hardest thing I could.

Fault in golden love, was iron, rusted.

A lesson I will never happen again.

Eve is right!

"Love is blind, and it will take over your mind

What you think is love, is truly not

You need to elevate and find."
