Finding A Voice - 2. Chapter 2

I ask that when you read these works, do so one at a time. Like fine wine or a great book, savior what you have read. Feel the emotion. Please enjoy Blindly Bleeding, Love's Last Ride, and Words Unspoken.

Blindly Bleeding

Within the steel cage, covering my heart.

I feel rage, yet none will part.

I see love, staring at me.

Like a dove, soon it will flee.

For past events left me frozen, steel.

Trying to repent the hurt I feel.

Moving forward. A new beginning.

Cord hanging, just behind. Hoping.

Tearing my soul, with every glance.

An abyss of a hole, but in a trance.

Bleeding still of every rhythm.

Wanting with my will, beyond fathom.

I will break away with the pain inside.

Come what may, like the rolling tide.

Bleeding blindly, heart in shambles.

A soul kindly comes with candles.

Love's Last Ride

Depressed beyond all that is dark and dismal.

Pained, stuck and bleeding like a grand fountain of Madrid.

Melancholy, saddened by Atlas' additional weight.

Bleak future of love; happiness lost, everything gone.

Darkness surrounds me like a mummy.

Sorrow chills once boiling, passionate blood.

Agony hushes a bountiful butterfly clad stomach.

Echoes torment my empty, frozen, heavy heart.

I knew sun drenched warmth of summer love.

Can one forget the sweet, intoxicating aroma?

Fragile beauty of a delicate kiss?

Shuttering of hovering, trailing fingertips?

Such summers fade into the chameleon autumn.

Ultimately, swiftly, unnoticed; Jack Frost's nipping at your

Vibrant, vivid, vital heart. Frosted, forbidden, forgotten.

Never will Demeter's child return from Hades' home.

Words Unspoken

Northern winds howl, your heart uncontrollably bleeds.

Legs give way, heavy from your aching soul.

Your glass slipper shattered; fallen walls bury, I cannot see.

Mind twisted, chaotic scenarios; wanting to be whole...

Oceanic depth, my love for you, your soul for me, space.

Past events, you only see. Break ties between him and me.

Speaking heart from thine lips, rivers down a crimson face.

Flourishing rose that ceases to be, release my past, free.

Bitterness, anger, an ex you loathe.

With this plea, I ask of you,

that whom I confide, the man I love.

Forever never long enough, say, 'I do.'

Peace, white dove, heavenly music, future love.

All I live for, my love, happiness personified.

Happiness, future, a home strong together.

Our love will never fray nor fade.

I love you until my last light,

wishing, hoping; never chained; have you heard?

Moving forward, I will keep the chapters to a three poem maximum. I did not realize how many poems I have, all wanting to be seen, that have their own histories. Just revisiting them reminds me that I can heal in time.
