A Man in a Room, and other poems - 24. The Belle Torment

Well done AC. Sometimes you see things when you need them. That’s #67 for me. A family member walked through the gate yesterday. I also learned Monday that one will soon follow. (Questions about questions)... This really resonates at the moment. Thank you for sharing these.

All of these are good, AC.  The little two liners, say much about we humans, and our condition.  67 ...and the gate we have to enter, then we wander about life until the final end and gate two waits for us to exit from .

These are older poems from the very young you... that shows but also as we go along we can see the maturity increasing.

Yeah, thank you JP. I'm sorry to hear about your losses. My mom passed in November and I'm still dealing with it in my way. I wish you the best, and major hugs

Thank you, Tim. Yes, I have done very little editing to the poems in these early collections, as even in my mistakes (or rather lack of poetical knowledge back then), I feel there's a certain feeling that comes through. Thanks again for reading these and your support. It means a lot to me.   

These are your thoughts and observations about life. I've learned much about poetry since joining GA. It's rather interesting watching your knowledge of poetry grow through your sharing here, AC. I think it's brave of you to share what you think are less than your best. But you shouldn't judge these first shoots of brilliance against what you write now. Thanks for letting us into your past. 

I’m reading through the comments, and it’s always way in the back of my mind that these were written when you were younger. Your poetic knowledge has increased, yes, but these gems hold such genius.. It is a pleasure to walk back with you.   

All lovely #67 gave me a moment of pause. 

Each of these is a little gem, beautiful words that sparkle in your setting. 66 speaks directly to me; 67 is wonderfully symmetric, and has several meanings to ponder. 68 is utterly true, and economically delivered. 65 sticks with me now, wondering what I must give up as I go to my rest.

Thanks for your support, Mike. It mostly surprising to realize some of these hit home with others. It's good to share, and eventually I'd like to post it all. Thank you again

Thank you, Parker. Funny you use the work sparkle, as I recently asked a friend to read a small story of mine. She replied it was nice. I asked her, "Yes, but does it sparkle?"  

I must always have liked glittery text. Thanks for your encouragement. I believe I am getting near the end of this collection. (Then it's on to the next  )
