Egaran Stars - 39. Reinard- The Death of a Clan

Boxes sat on the bed, seeming to come from nowhere. Reinard was apprehensive about what they contained. Themis had said he needed to change his pattern, and that struck the Faro hard. His fur was who he was, what made him an Artego. If that was changed, there would be nothing tying him to his clan any more, no culture for him to show to the galaxy. He would be a Faro lost in time and space.

“Maybe make him a silver fox,” Themis said, looking her friend over. “I think Tenero stripes would work well with the colouring.”

Reinard’s fur bristled at the words. It was even worse than he thought.

“I’m not a Tenero.”

“Well not with that attitude,” Themis said.

“Perhaps Estian. I had the pleasure of meeting one of them once, an explorer type,” the Xanar said. “The red and black will be a challenge, but I can pull it off.”

“That would give a decent cover story too,” Themis agreed, looking at a mixed pattern. “Maybe some blue highlights like from-”

“No!”

Reinard slammed his foot on the ground, drawing up to his full height. He glared at Themis, his fur puffing out in rage.

“You are telling me to change who I am and now you want sacrilege from me? There is only one blue fox, and none other can take his pattern.”

“Fine, no blue highlights,” Themis said. “You act like I’m supposed to know Faro religion. I was only on Athalea for two weeks Reinard. Settle down.”

A hand ran through Reinard’s arm fur, the Faro yelping at the touch. The Xanar rubbed the fur, closing their eyes.

“Three coats, minimum. This will take the rest of the day, and probably a follow up a week from now. Your clothes will need to come off.”

The Xanar pulled out a table from a large bag, ignoring the panicked look in the Faro’s eyes. Reinard couldn’t remove his clothes… he was still wearing his diaper. Why he had put it on during the day was beyond him, but now he couldn’t remove his clothes without everyone knowing.

“I can promise you Relys is not interested in your body,” Themis sighed.

“It’s not that…”

“What, did Galen bite you or something? Do you want me to leave the room? You’re not the first person I’ve seen naked. Shit, you’re not even the first Faro. Though I doubt he knew I saw him.”

“I don’t need him nude. He can keep his underpants on,” Relys added, setting the table up. “It would make for a more natural look if I did his groin and butt, but it isn’t necessary.”

“Can I just… get ready please?” Reinard begged, looking at Themis.

Sighing quietly, the Egaro nodded, motioning for Relys to join her outside the room. She closed the door, and Reinard dropped his pants, fingers pulling at the diaper. He still hadn’t mastered the tape holding it together, and after a moment of frantic struggling, the Faro gave up.

“Galen!”

The door opened, Galen’s head poking inside. The tiger let out a laugh at the sight of Reinard standing in his diaper, slipping into the room.

“It’s not funny,” the Faro glared.

“It really is,” Galen denied. “You need to learn how to-”

“Just shut up and help me get it off.”

Shrugging, the Egaro knelt in front of his fox, fingers playing over the tape.

“I’m not getting any surprises, am I?” he asked.

“No!”

“Shame. You know, I’m sure Themis doesn’t care. It makes you happy, doesn’t it?”

Reinard scowled as Galen pulled the tape apart, the diaper dropping to the ground. He let out a startled yelp as Galen’s tongue ran over his rod, the red rocket slipping free from his sheathe as Galen smirked.

“Don’t do that, they’re going to see!”

“They’ll see it anyway,” Galen shrugged. “Why not show them what they can’t have? Make them jealous.”

Reinard gekkered as the tiger licked him again, his hands both pushing and pulling at Galen’s head fur.

“Don’t… Galen, you’ll make me…”

“Make you cum? Please do. I want to taste you,” the tiger breathed.

“But Themis-”

Galen let out a sigh, pulling away from the Faro.

“Yeah, Themis.”

Lifting Reinard into the air, the tiger set the fox on the table, before picking up the diaper.

“When Relys is done, I want to see you painted head to toe. If you refuse to let them paint a single spot, I will not have sex with you tonight.”

“But you weren’t going to have sex with me anyway,” Reinard said. “Besides, I don’t want them touching my privates.”

“I doubt they’ll touch anything other than your tail,” Galen shrugged. “And Themis wants you popping out cubs, so I guess that’s the new plan.”

“Well you don’t have to sound so excited about it,” Reinard grumbled. “I’m the one that has to put up with your massive dick.”

“You weren’t complaining about it last night.”

“I was high last night-”

A loud knock cut off Reinard’s words, Themis calling through the door.

“Hurry up you two. You can argue on someone else’s time. We have things to do.”

Galen opened the door, Reinard’s diaper held loose in his hands for all to see.

“By all means. He’s ready for you. Do the thing,” he said, squeezing past Themis.

Reinard’s entire body burned in shame, the Faro curling up into a ball.

“Oh get over it Reinard. I figured there was something going on. That’s tame,” Themis sighed. “Relys, have at it.”

The Faro shuddered as the Xanar approached him, a stiff looking brush and a strange nozzle in Relys’ hands. The brush pressed into Reinard’s chest, pushing him onto his back. There was a roaring hum, and paint hissed out of the nozzle, spraying over the fox’s chest as the brush spread his fur apart. The paint felt cold, a darkness taking over his tan fur, and Reinard closed his eyes, fighting the urge to sob as his clan was erased.

My heart goes out to Reinard 🥺. Loving the updates ❤️

Thanks :) I cannot promise his story has an HEA, his trauma will stay with him for the rest of his life. But he has several friends he can lean on for help, if he can just realize he needs it.

It seems like too much drama over a dye job.

It isn't just a dye job though. It's taking the last member of a clan and forcing him to take on a new identity, erase his people, destroy everything he is. Reinard will have to keep the dye for the rest of his life. It truly is the last death knell for a clan long gone.

Except it's a totally sham demise. Hidden doesn't equate to completely gone no matter what universe you are in.

I feel for Reinard, I really do. For one to hold onto the hope of bringing back his clan, only to be forced to alter his identity... I only hope they find out who is hunting his clan.

It may be a temporary blow, but it still holds a heavy weight. With luck something can be done to help the Faro.

I love Themis. She care for both Reinard and Galen enough to not put up with any of their BS.  Great chapter!  Also, I am not bothered about the colour change.  😉
