Seth on the Road to Chaos - 12. Chapter 12
When I went downstairs for breakfast, Mom was sitting at the counter drinking a cup of coffee. I asked, “I thought you were leaving this morning?”
She looked at the clock on the wall and replied, “My flight doesn’t leave until 10.”
“Okay,” I said as I poured cereal into a bowl. Just then Stacy entered with her usual morning scowl.
“I’ll take a bowl,” she said as she sat down. I reached into the cupboard, took out a bowl and placed it in front of her. “Cute, Dumbass,” she muttered angrily. I looked at my mother, but she didn’t say anything. Stacy got up, shoved me aside and poured cereal in a bowl. She got milk out of the refrigerator, poured some over her cereal. I held out my hand for it, but she smirked and placed it back in the refrigerator. The next few days are going to be hell.
Stacy sat down and started whining. “Mommy,” she began to cry. “I don’t think it’s fair that we have to come straight home after school. Why can’t I watch Craig practice?” She cried harder. “Don’t you trust me?”
“It’s not a matter of trust, Stacy,” replied my mother sympathetically. I was also upset by the strict guidelines that Mom had placed on us. I was hoping Stacy could talk her out of it. “I just want to make sure that you and Seth are safe while I’m gone. I won’t worry so much if I know you are at home.”
Stacy’s head dropped to the table, and she began sobbing. “You don’t trust us.” She cried for a moment, lifted her head and asked, “What about the game tomorrow? It’s not fair that I can’t go. You let us go to the dance on Saturday, why can’t we go to the game?” I had to agree with Stacy. It didn’t make much sense.
My mother sighed and looked at us. She then said, “Okay. Perhaps I’m being too cautious.” Stacy lifted her head and grinned. “I want you both to be in the house by 6. I’ll tell Marie to prepare dinner at that time.” She stared at us briefly and added, “You may go to the game on Friday, but you are to come home immediately. That means no stopping off for pizza. Do you agree?”
“Oh, Mommy,” squealed Stacy as she rose and gave my mother a big hug. “Thank you.” My mother stared over Stacy’s should and looked at me. I gave her a quick nod. Even though I didn’t have anything to do after school, and I didn’t plan on attending the game, I was still happy that she was trusting us. It also meant that I wouldn’t have to be in the house alone with Stacy.
Before leaving for school, my mother once again reminded us to be on our best behavior. She pointed out a paper on the refrigerator door. It contained information on where she would be. It had the hotel she was staying at, and the conference hall where she would be attending meetings. “Now don’t hesitate to call me if anything goes wrong,” she said. “You both know my cellphone number.” Stacy assured her that nothing would go wrong. I wasn’t so sure.
After hugging my mother, we headed to school. As usual, we had to pick up Maggie. This morning she was running late, so we sat in the car waiting for her to come out. Stacy spent the time texting Craig and giggling at his comments.
Ty and Blake were sitting together alone at the cafeteria table when I arrived. They were talking like they had been friends forever. Jennifer and Sherman weren’t there. “Hey Guys,” I said as I sat down.
Blake looked over with a wide grin on his face. “Hi, Seth,” he replied cheerfully. I looked at Ty, and he was watching his reaction to me. I knew that Ty was thinking that Blake and I were boyfriends. If he did, it didn’t seem to bother him. We sat and talked about Blake attending our school. He said that it seemed alright. He added that he felt he had met a few people who he thought would be his friends. Ty beamed with pride when Blake said he was one of them. He also mentioned how helpful Roni had been to him. In addition to first period, they shared two more classes during the day. He said they sat together and were becoming good friends. I was worried that Blake might say something about me. It was okay since Roni is gay, but she also knows about me and Craig. I’m sure she’ll have something to say about it later.
Everything was fine until sixth period. I met Blake in the hall, and we entered the class together. Craig was sitting in his seat in the back, and he scowled when he noticed us together. Blake was giggling about a comment he made, and he was grabbing my arm as he laughed. I pulled away and sat down. Blake took the seat next to me and scooted it closer.
We were assigned a short story to read and a handout to complete. Blake kept looking over at me and smiling as he read the story. I was worried because Craig was only a couple of rows behind us, and I was afraid he would notice. I didn’t want to look back to see if he was watching.
When the bell rang, we stood. Like the day before, Craig shoved Blake when he passed. Blake turned and said, “Watch it.”
Craig balled his fist and asked threatening, “Or what?” He looked over at me with an angry expression.
“Nothing,” replied Blake. “Just watch it, okay?” Craig gave him a threatening look and left the room.
As we left the room, Blake asked, “Is something going on between you and him?”
“No,” I lied. “Why?”
His face reddened and he replied, “Well, I kind of heard you guys in the hospital room.” I looked at him and didn’t know what to say. Just what had he heard? Blake then asked, “Isn’t he dating your sister?”
“I gotta go,” I responded as I began to walk away.
Blake ran up beside me. “Can I get a ride home?”
I didn’t want to give him a ride because I was afraid that he might continue asking me about Craig. However, he looked hurt when I turned him down the day before. If only he knew that I did it so I could go to Craig’s house and have sex.
“Sure,” I replied as we headed out the building towards my car.
Suddenly, someone cried out, “Wait up, Seth!” I turned and Roni was walking quickly our way. She caught up to us, bent over and tried to catch her breath. “I’m glad I caught you.” She looked at me and grinned, “Can you take me home?” She turned towards Blake and asked, “You don’t mind, do you?”
“No,” replied Blake cheerfully. He looked over and grinned. “The three of us will have a good time.”
Roni giggled and said, “Forget it. I don’t swing that way.”
I couldn’t believe it when Blake looked at me and replied, “I don’t either.” He grabbed Roni’s hand, and they walked off laughing. I trailed behind and wondered what was happening.
Blake and Roni talked all the way to her house. It was obvious that he knew about her girlfriend, Cindy. He once jokingly asked her if she would want to have a good time too. Again, they laughed and said that Cindy doesn’t swing that way. I almost wrecked when Roni joked and asked Blake if he would like to swing my way.
“You bet!” he answered cheerfully. Roni looked at me for my reaction, but I kept my eyes on the road and ignored them. When we arrived at Roni’s house, she invited us in. I was skeptical, but Blake seemed excited about continuing their discussion.
“This is it,” said Roni as she pointed around the room. “Home sweet home.”
Blake muttered sadly, “At least you have a home.” He walked over to the leather sofa and sat down. I hesitated before sitting beside him. I didn’t want Roni to think that we were a couple. I know that Blake has a habit of wanting to sit closely beside me. I don’t know why I was skeptical of her thinking that. In a way, I thought I was betraying Craig.
“I’ll get us some sodas,” said Roni as she left the room.
Blake looked at me and grinned, “I really like Roni. She’s not like other girls.”
“She is a lesbian,” I laughed.
“No,” he said thoughtfully. “It’s not that. She just seems more real. I feel like I can tell her anything and she’ll understand.” I knew what he meant. I had confessed to her that I was gay the first time we talked. However, there are things that I don’t want Blake to know, like my involvement with Craig. I’m starting to have feelings for Blake, and I don’t want him to think that I am some kind of hungry cock whore. Even though that is how I see myself.
Roni returned with the sodas and sat down beside Blake. She turned to him and asked, “So, Blake, tell me a little about yourself. I want to get to know you better.”
He sat for a minute and looked across the room. I knew a little about his past, and I am sure it was difficult for him to talk about it with someone he just met. However, he let out a long sigh and began his heart wrenching story.
“There’s not much to say,” he began. “I’m gay.” He paused and waited for a reaction from Roni, but she didn’t say anything. Instead, she reached down and gripped his hand. Tears welled up in his eyes, and I thought he was going to cry. “I came out to my parents when I was thirteen. They’ve hated me ever since. Mom keeps telling me that I am the child of the Devil.” Tears started flowing when he said, “She hit me once when I told her she shouldn’t have fucked him.”
Blake began to cry harder. “My life has been hell,” he sobbed. I gripped his other hand and squeezed it. Roni looked at me with tears in her eyes. “I run away when I can’t take their abuse anymore. Then the cops pick me up and take me home. They treat me like I’m some kind of demon. I hate them!” He leaned on my shoulder and wept uncontrollably. Roni and I held him tightly. “I wish I was dead.”
Blake cried for several minutes. We didn’t know what to do. Blake had told me before he didn’t want to live, but this time he said it with determination. I really felt that he may someday take his life. “Why does everyone hate me?” He screamed dejectedly. I lifted his face and looked into his eyes.
“I don’t hate you,” I said tearfully as I kissed him gently. I froze when I realized what I had done. I looked quickly at Roni, and she was smiling with tears running down her face.
Blake sighed and rested his head again on my shoulder. “Why do the good ones always have to be taken?” he muttered sadly.
Roni looked wide-eyed at me and asked, “Did you tell him about Craig?”
My mouth dropped open. I couldn’t believe that Roni had just blurted out about Craig and my relationship. When Blake made the comment, I thought he was talking about Ty. He had made a few references about Ty being my boyfriend. I would never want Blake to know about Craig.
Blake sat up and looked at Roni. “I thought Seth likes Ty?” He looked at me with a surprised look on his face. “Is Craig your boyfriend? I thought he dates your sister?”
I didn’t know how to respond. Fortunately, Roni came to the rescue. She began to laugh. “Seth has this huge crush on Craig,” she giggled. “He has for years. Of course, he can’t say anything about it.” She took Blake’s hand and held it. “Now, Blake, you have to promise that you won’t say anything to anyone about it. It has to be our secret. Promise?”
Blake looked at me and giggled, “You like your sister’s boyfriend? He is cute, though. I guess if I knew him better, I would have a crush on him.” My face began to redden. At least Blake thinking I have a crush on Craig is better than knowing the real truth.
Roni said to Blake, “Now, promise us you won’t tell anyone.”
Blake smiled and pretended to zip his lips, “I won’t say a word.” I let out a sigh of relief.
“Good,” replied Roni. He rose and announced, “I gotta go pee. You boys have fun while I’m gone.”
“We will,” giggled Blake as he reached out and gripped my hand.
Blake watched her leave, and then he giggled and asked, “Does he have a big one?”
I have him a puzzled look and asked, “Does who have a big one?”
“Craig,” he responded. “Is he big?”
My face turned fifty shades of red. I couldn’t understand why Blake was asking me that. I thought that Roni had convinced him that I only had a crush on Craig, and that nothing more was going on. I stammered, “Why…why…why are you asking me that?”
He giggled and replied, “I heard you in the hospital room. He showed you his dick, didn’t he? Is that why you have a crush on him?”
I pulled my hand from his. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I insisted.
He giggled again and said, “It’s okay, Seth. You’re not the first gay boy to have a crush on a straight boy. I’ve had my share, too.”
I started to deny it, but Roni returned and sat down beside Blake. “What are you boys talking about?”
Blake started to giggle, and I looked over and said with a warning, “We weren’t talking about anything, were we Blake?”
“No, Sir,” laughed Blake. “We weren’t talking about Craig.”
A surprised look appeared on Roni’s face. She looked at me and asked, “Did you tell him about Craig?”
“So, there is more,” asked Blake as he gave me a puzzled look.
“Drop it,” I insisted to both of them. “We’re not going to talk about Craig anymore.” I took Blake’s hand and squeezed it. “We were talking about you.”
Tears welled up in his eyes again. “I don’t want to talk about me anymore.”
“I have an idea,” interrupted Roni. “Let’s go for a swim in the pool.”
“You have a pool?” asked Blake excitedly. “I’d love to go swimming, but I don’t have a swimsuit.”
Roni laughed and said, “We’ll skinny dip.”
“Hell, yeah,” laughed Blake. “I’m in.”
“I’m not!” I shouted. “I ain’t swimming naked in a pool.” I rose and headed toward the door.
Roni ran over and grabbed my hand. “Silly,” she insisted, “I was just kidding. You and Blake can use a pair of my brother’s swim suits. He’s away at college. He must have about fifty pair. I’ll go get two. Wait here.”
When she left, Blake laughed and said, “I like the idea of swimming naked.”
“I do too,” I confessed, “But I ain’t swimming naked with a girl.”
“She’s a lesbian,” giggled Blake. “She don’t care.”
“No!” I said emphatically. “I’m not going to swim naked.” Just then Roni returned with two swimsuits. She handed them to us and pointed to the hallway.
“There’s a bathroom down the hall. You can change there.” Blake and I headed down the hall. When we reached the door, I stopped as Blake entered.
“I’ll wait out here until you’re done,” I said.
He grinned and said, “We can change together.”
“We’d better not.”
“Chicken,” he responded as he began to laugh and cluck.
“I’m not a chicken,” I insisted.
“Then prove it,” challenged Blake as he stepped aside to give me room to enter.
I entered and mumbled, “Have it your way.” He giggled and closed the door.
I was extremely nervous. I had changed clothes after gym class for several years in front of other guys. I’m not ashamed of my body. However, this was different. It was Blake. For some reason it felt different to get naked in front of him. And if we did get naked together, would it lead to something else? If it did, then I felt I would be cheating on Craig. He was the only boy I want to have sex with.
I became more nervous when Blake looked seductively at me and began removing his clothes. He pulled his shirt over his head, and I was surprised that he didn’t have any hair on his chest. He didn’t even have any hair leading down to his dick like Craig has. He also didn’t have the abs that Craig possesses. Of course, he’s not an athlete. But he still looked good. He had no body fat, and his nipples were large and pink. He smiled as he watched me gazing at him.
We made eye contact, and he unbuckled his pants and pulled them off. I looked down and saw a noticeable bulge in the front of the red bikini underwear he was wearing. Blake smiled when my eyes widened. He then grabbed the top of his underwear, and in one quick tug, he was standing naked in front of me. He didn’t say anything as I stared at him.
Finally, I cleared my throat and muttered, “Wow. Nice body.”
He tugged on his erection, giggled and said, “What about this?” It looked to be about six inches long.
My face reddened as I replied, “That’s nice too.”
He covered his cock with his hands and said, “I feel a little uncomfortable.” He smiled and added, “Why don’t you join me?”
I responded, “Okay.” My hands shook as I removed my shirt. I was afraid to look at Blake. I didn’t want to see his response if he didn’t like what he saw. I turned and dropped my pants and underwear.
Blake giggled and whistled. “Nice ass,” he said as he walked nearer to me and reached out and patted it.
I turned and started to speak. “Blake, maybe this isn’t…” I didn’t finish because Blake leaned forward and kissed me.
“Don’t be scared, Seth,” he said. “I’m not going to hurt you.” I moaned into his mouth as we pressed our erections together. Suddenly, guilt crept into my mind. I shouldn’t be doing something with Blake when I had strong feelings for Craig. I know we will never have a relationship, but it still felt wrong.
I stepped back and said, “I’m sorry, Blake. I’m not ready for this.”
He gave me a puzzled look and asked, “Are you a virgin?” My face reddened, and I didn’t know what to say. It would be easy to deny it, but I didn’t want to lie. When I didn’t respond, he asked again, “Are you?”
I grabbed my swimsuit and put it on. I wanted to get out of the bathroom before I said or did something I would regret. I could tell by the look on Blake’s face that he was upset by my reactions. He was trying very hard to hold back tears. I reached out and pulled him into a hug. I whispered in his ear, “It’s not you,” I said as tears formed in my eyes. “I really like you.”
He looked sadly at me and asked, “Then what is it?”
“I can’t tell you,” I replied. “But it’s not you.” I grabbed his hand and had to forcefully pull him from the bathroom. For a minute, I was afraid that he was going to get dressed and leave. However, he reluctantly followed me out to the pool where Roni was waiting.
“It’s about time,” remarked Roni with a laugh. “I thought I might have to come into the bathroom and throw cold water on you guys.”
Blake muttered, “That’s not going to happen,” as he jumped into the pool.
Roni gave me a puzzled look and asked, “What happened Seth? What did Blake mean?”
I shook my head sadly and replied, “My life is so fucked up.” I walked over to a lounge chair and sat down. Roni sat beside me. We watched silently for a minute as Blake swam alone in the pool.
Roni looked at me and asked, “What is going on, Seth? You and Blake seem like a good match? I can tell he really likes you. Did something happen in the bathroom?”
I shook my head and replied, “Or didn’t happen.”
“Oh, I see,” responded Roni. “You wanted to do something, and Blake didn’t?”
Tears welled up in my eyes as I replied, “I just can’t.” I rose from the chair, walked to the side of the pool and jumped in. Blake watched as I swam over to him. I stopped before him and said, “I’m sorry.”
He teared up and said, “I understand. You have a boyfriend.”
“It’s not like that,” I replied.
He gave me a puzzled look and asked, “What is it then.”
“I can’t explain it,” I said. Things were becoming too emotional for me. To change the mood, I cupped my hand and splashed water onto his face. I then reached out and slapped his nuts under the water. “Ball tag!” I hollered out as I raced to the other side of the pool. Roni started laughing at us as we chased each other around in the pool trying to smack each other in the groin.
I cornered Blake at one side of the pool. “Ball tag,” I said softly as I reached under the water and felt his soft cock.
He grinned and replied, “Ball tag,” as he felt mine. We both began to grow erect. I knew I shouldn’t be leading him on if I had no intention of having sex with him, but I didn’t want him to stay upset with me. We could be playful without having sex.
Blake smiled, and then he leaned forward and kissed me gently. I wrapped my arms around him and returned the kiss. Suddenly, the pool gate creaked as someone entered.
It was Craig! He stopped and looked down at us. What is the saying? If looks could kill? He glared angrily down at us. I quickly moved away from Blake and swam into the middle of the pool in case Craig decided he was going to jump in. I wasn’t sure I could outswim him, but he was dressed in clothes, so I should be able to avoid him if he did.
Roni jumped from her chair and ran over to him. “Craig! I didn’t know you were coming by.”
He glared down at me and replied, “Obviously.” Roni tried to pull him over to a chair and sit, but he batted her hand away as he continued to look angrily at me. I glanced back at Blake to see where he was in case Craig wanted to confront him. By the look on Craig’s face, I wasn’t sure what his next move would be.
“Come on, Craig, sit down,” begged Roni as she tried to get him to sit in a chair. “We can talk about this?” Craig gave her an angry look, and then peered down at me.
“Fucker!” he said threateningly. “I’ll deal with you later.” He then turned and stormed out through the gate.
“Oh, Dear,” exclaimed Roni from above.
Blake swam over to me, looked me in the eyes and asked, “What’s going on, Seth?” I could tell by the look in his eyes that he already knew the answer.
