Twinks in Space: Destination Unknown - Part One - 40. Chapter 40 - Above Xanithon

Stawren and Lyoth were on the bridge of the cargo shuttle that was packed with assassin viper androids. The two of them were watching the ship’s hyperspace flight timer as it finished its countdown. Neptithia’s communications were connected to them.

3… 2… 1… Deactivate.

“Exiting hyperspace,” the shuttle’s computer stated.

A planet appeared.

“Oh, gods,” Lyoth whispered.

“We’re really above Xanithon,” Stawren said in disbelief.

“Can you tell what city you’re over?” Neptithia’s voice asked through the ship’s speakers.

Stawren looked at Lyoth. “I’m not familiar enough with the geography of Xanithon.”

“Neither am I,” he replied, “but it looks huge. The city is an enormous spot on the planet’s face.”

The ship descended, and it approached a wide swath of green.

“Wait, where’s it going?” Lyoth asked. “There are no docking ports down there.”

Stawren cried out, “That’s a park!” Lyoth gasped as Stawren added in dismay, “They’re not just going to drop these murder-bots right into the middle of a populated area, are they?”

Lyoth turned to her. “This is an act of war,” he breathed.

They heard the click of the exterior bay doors open, and to their horror, Lyoth and Stawren were helpless as they watched nearly 15,000 assassin viper androids rain down on the city.
