Poetry Saga FA2016 - 5. Poem 5: Ghazalyaat - Truth

strong>A Ghazalyaat is not simple to write, when it involved to write about love and its resulted despair. It ripped my heart to write this poem. I hope you guy like it, the poem.

Truth

Devotion in someone's eyes— I could see

but not ever did it fall onto me.

The special gifts being wrapped— I could hear

but none ever were bestowed upon me.

Delightful fragrances near— I could smell

but none ever deigned to embrace me.

Food, selected for couples— I could taste

but not ever was it prepared for me.

Pure love, concerning someone— I could feel

but not ever was that focused on me.

I, Emi, know the blindside of someone—

Or I have forgot the truth about me.

strong>:thankyou:  to SkinnyD and AC Benus for their valuable suggestions for my poetry. :thankyou:  all for reading my poetry. And don't forget to leave a review. I Love to hear what you think.:D

There's a nobility here that's really well suited to the Ghazal form. The repeating of 'me' really works, and I like the shifts between 'upon me,' 'about me,' 'onto me,' etc. because they add interest. It's a moving set of lyrics too, and I bet the song set to this could be heartbreaking.

Well done.

This was an honorable lament, and I felt it, Emi... I wish for you... everything you could want from love xo

This is my new favorite, Emi. It's so raw, so full of emotion, and so heartfelt. I felt the pain of the poem -- your pain.

I was blindsided by what my ex did almost thirteen years ago, and the pain may dim or fade a little, but it is never forgotten. I totally feel this poem, Emi.

Wonderful job!
