A touching, thoughtful, and playful journal or diary entry that Mark was writing to Allen, simply because Allen hadn't been able to come camping with him this time.  Mark mentions many incidents from their past and the strong feelings they evoke in him.  It is a beautifully written short story that will on occasion make you laugh and at other times tug at your heart.  I strongly suggest that you give it a read.
