Idiom Prompt - Crack Someone Up

   (1 review)
Genres: General Fiction
Sub-genres: Prompt

From a dimly-lit booth at Ricci's restaurant, Jeremy dines on linguine and fine wine while waiting for the occasional client to require his expertise - but only on Tuesday nights, and only if the price is right.

A contribution to Cia's story prompt, using the idiom "crack someone up" in a literal way.

Jeremy lives a very regimented life, and he has a secret.

Marco, the waiter at the restaurant he goes to every Tuesday, can help you learn that secret. If he folds your note to Jeremy just so, that is.

Lucky for you, all you need do is read this short story from MacGreg to discover it.

This short story, in which a given idiom must be represented literally, takes the reader on a journey through Jeremy's night at Ricci's restaurant.

Read it, i'm sure the ending will crack you up too!
