The Gunroom 1. Bridgemont

So I get to be the first - hopefully not the only - review for the moment.

No wasting time for you eh Mark? Got them scoping each other out at the drop of a hate - damn this has the making of a randy ship if ever their was one.

Interesting how different George is from his brothers - will be interested to see how their dynamic get's fleshed out. Have a terrorizing brute of an eldest brother and a good for nothing, whoring, gambling lout of a middle brother didn't seem the recipe for George turning out okay.

Is the Gunroom going to turn into the Funroom by story's end? One can hope I suppose.

So this turned out to be a worthy read after all. Don´t know why I stopped reading the first time I tried it, wrong time, wrong mood I guess.

I was a little worried it would be too difficult with the terms connected to navy and military actions (military history has never been much of an interest for me, I´ve always preferred the economic and social aspects of history) but it was ok, and quite interesting at times. It must have been boring as h*ll though at times, all the waiting, and only exercises and drills to keep the men occupied. (And in this story - all the sex of course)

Granger grew as a character as did the sub-characters I felt a little sorry for Wilcox, I know I probably shouldn´t but I still did, he was merely an instrument in the hands of his family. Bell, Winkler and the newer lad towards the end (oh, I can´t remember his name) were all lovable and enjoyable characters.

And now there is what ... four more stories about Granger?

Mark I enjoyed the first book, but this one was the best. I only wish that it would have been longer. Your ability to spin a tale and draw us into it was masterful. Well done and thank you.

When I first read this story, I was so caught up in it that I never got round to writing a comment. But now I've enjoyed reading the first book again, and it's actually even better the second time. I liked the Hornblower books when I was a kid, and I've read a couple of other naval stories with the same theme as this, but nothing so awesome. I'm utterly impressed with your skill and knowledge, and of course Granger is a marvelous main character, charming, intelligent, honorable, kind and last but not least very hot. You have done a fantastic job, and the first book left me eager for more. I salute you, sir.

Like the other stories posted on GA's Abourverse I have already had the selfish pleasure of reading unfettered by the interruptions of reviews and what not. I had to go back because these stories are just too excellent not be lauded by copious reviews.

Here's my opinion to would be readers on the initial offering in the Granger Saga...READ THIS FUCKING STORY BECAUSE IT'S AWESOME!!!
