Most conversations people have in a lift rarely range beyond a 'Hi - how are you?' That's probably how Leo prefers it. Then he encounters Andi.

This story started life as a short exercise in writing only dialogue. Although the story's grown in size, there's still nothing but dialogue. In the silences, you, the reader, are invited to imagine body language, expressions, and non-verbal sounds suitable for both characters.
Written in memory of Carlos Hazday, writer, conversationalist, holder of strong views, fearless advocate for queer rights, and friend.

Have you ever been caught in a situation where you've been engaged by a very chatty person in a very awkward situation that was impossible to escape, and worst of all, they wouldn't leave you alone, even though you refused to respond to them?  If you have, then you might be able to identify with this  awkward and somewhat tense conversation between two people, and if you haven't ever found yourself in a similar predicament, then read this short-story and determine how you might have reacted.
