The Legend of Treehaven Woods

Rule #1: Don't go into the woods. Matthew moves to New Eden, Connecticut to live with his newly discovered aunt and uncle after a devastating accident. He is given a list of rules to follow and learns that his heritage is stranger then he ever thought possible. There are two sides to every story, however; and after meeting Isaiah he begins to question everything he's been told, including staying away from the woods.

This story is based on the Legend theme.

I found this short story to be a highly unusual, yet satisfying romance.  Matthew has become an orphan when his parents were killed in an automobile accident, which also left him with some disabilities.  He is sent to live with an aunt and uncle that he hadn't even known had existed, and this leads to a remarkable and interesting tale based on ancient religious beliefs and a bit of paranormal intrigue wrapped in a modern setting.
