Victor's Attempts at Poetry - 2. For my Love

I'm a lot more self-conscious about this one because, the person in question doesn't exist (until now). While I have always dreamed, I never met or saw that person. Do let me know what you think, even if you think its funny :hug:  

As I gaze out at the trees passing by,

I remember the day I left home.

I look at all the love around me

And sigh wistfully, smiling to myself.

 

Like a man in shining armour,

I imagine you’d sweep me right off my feet.

I know I may have to try several times

But I will, for a lifetime with you.

 

I cannot promise you to be the perfect man,

What i can, is to love you forever.

I don’t want you to be perfect either

Your imperfections are what makes you, you.

 

I dream of the day you kiss me,

One that chases all my fears and sadness away.

I promise you, I will always be by your side,

in happiness and sorrow, in sickness and health.

I dream of the time, when I look at you, and you at me

And there’s only us in our own little world.

And thank you tim for editing this poem and making it readable :hug: . And any mistakes here are totally mine and only my bad writing skills are to blame here :lol:

You have just sent a part of yourself out into the universe, and somewhere, someone is doing the same thing. He's out there, hoping and praying for you. Have faith, my friend... your beautiful soul will be rewarded, and someday you'll be whispering such sweet words as this into his ear as you lay united.
