Something I rarely do is to post my reaction/comment to a story, and this story is worth the read folks!!

So tender and sweet, even in the harshest of times, a powerful and impactful story, thank you for this!!

Mo Xu looked at the maps on the wall and at the pins bristling along the blue river. He thought of his son’s hand in his as a child, of catching dragonflies over an irrigation ditch with a chubby toddler. Mo Wu was too young to understand the way of nations and the limits of love.

“Sometimes,” he said quietly, “the point is only that you know. You have seen the enemy’s face and found a human being there. That is all there is.”

Response from the author:

Thanks for loving the romance and characters in this story. Not everyone is willing to comment on stories, so I am grateful for your review! :)

Frozen!? This exchange couldn't have been warmer! This was a moving tale of a friendship and love forged on a battlefield that was never forgotten.

Response from the author:

Yeah, the romance between Mo Wu and Miroslav Tolstoy were the warmest parts in this story set during the Cold War during the Sino-Soviet Split. Glad you enjoyed it!

I went into this with intrepiation as I don't normally read Historical War stories.

But I was pleasantly surprised.

What i found was a tender and sweet love story.

Give it a read, you will find yourself enjoying the story of Mo Wu and Miroslav Tolstoy.

Response from the author:

Thanks Chris, love that you love the love :)

I went into this story hesitatingly, not being a fan of history at all. But it’s not a story about history. It is a beautifully written story of love that due to circumstances beyond the characters’ control, could not be realized at the time.

Don’t hesitate to read this very touching story for any reason. You’ll be glad you forged ahead and read. Just have the tissues handy.

Response from the author:

Thank you for the review and praise, love is love, no matter where or when it happens :D
