On hiatus from the Soapbox for 3 months

I'm serious about it this time and it has been building up for a while. I mean I love debating, but I love writing stories too. Every moment I spend researching and debating points is a moment I can't write.

I said almost two weeks ago, I'd release my Act 2 and Act 3 this week for my play. Look at my GA stories profile, it's still not up. I've had this happen to me more than once, I start a story with ideas, themes, and concepts, then I get into a heated debate in the Soapbox and I neglect it. When I get back to it, I no longer have that spark to write the story that way anymore.

Back in February, before DK's blow out and all the other stuff that came, I had said it in my profile, "I want to write more stories and less politics", it still there right now time stamped and all. I wasn't joking and really did want to do that. Two months later, I still want to do that and I have to stick to the plan. I have to force myself out of the soapbox debates for 3 months after tonight, no matter who asked for me to come back, no matter how much bait anyone tries to throw at me. If people want my point of view or analysis, pm me. Simply put darling, I need to put the stories back to front of my GA life.

Tonight will be my last major posting in the Soapbox. I am going to list out the final 4 points to counter Blue's nominal wage value theory, then give myself a 3 month break to write my stories. Hell, I only wrote 7500 words for the Anniversary Novella so far, I was hoping to write a full 30K by now.

If I don't step out and begin writing, I might skip the deadlines due to another heated debate.

This is not me leaving GA or leaving the soapbox, I am an eternal presence, you can't get rid of me that easily, but I have to get back to writing (and reading, I stopped midway through CJ's anthology entry last week).

Writing is what got me into GA, through it all, writing should be why I am here.

Good for you :)

It's amazing how much further one can move in life just by setting priorities straight a little

Yeah, but you'll still be reading the threads, lurking in the background, plotting your comeback Arnie style ...
