Eragon by Christopher Paolini

I really enjoyed Eragon when I read it years ago.  I liked the sequel as well and then I was so tied up I never finished reading the series.  I have them in my giant pile... but I still haven't gotten back to them.  I really need to, since I did enjoy the book so much.

Has anyone else read this?  What do you think?

I've read the first three a few times. Been meaning to finish the series, but just haven't had the gumption to do so. Overall, it's a good series.

I love this series! I've got all four books and plan on reading them all next!

My kids had the books, but I never read them. I did see the movie, though. I enjoyed it despite poor reviews. I always fall for dragons. :)

Read the series when I was sixteen. Though I liked it, it wasn't enough for me to reread the series. However, I will say this- I prefer the books over the movie, no question about it, lol.

You are granted a total reprieve in LPW just for that. They completely ruined it!!

The books are one hundred times better.  They did Saphira beautifully though, it's the one bright spot, and the cutie playing Eragon

Almost the same for me, except I was considerably older than 16 when I read them. Like more than double. :P

They're good, simple escapism. They have some nice twists, but overall I didn't think they were special enough to re-read (unlike a number of other series I own). If you enjoyed the first two, I would recommend reading the rest of the series. I'll leave it up to you as to whether your borrow or buy the extra books.

I enjoyed the first book and I quite liked the movie too. I never got much further with reading, but they're waiting on my bookshelves. I preferred Murtagh, too @Drew Espinosa  but not for his looks. ;)

I enjoyed the first two books a lot but really had to work to finish Brisinger.  Unfortunately it was long enough ago that I don’t remember the specifics that got in the way.
