The first story of this two-book series contains some of the best erotic scenes I’ve had the pleasure of reading on GA. Maybe that’s not surprising when the two main characters make money by doing porn. But the story also has a beautiful sad romance between an outgoing, self-confident, and charming guy and an introvert, vulnerable young man. So get those tissues ready, because you may need them several times, one way  20.gif  or the other :,( .
In the second story, their roles are kind of reversed. Shy, sensitive Ryan is now the stronger person, who has worked out how he wants to spend his life, and what his goals are. The once self-assured Erik chasing success in New York shows a more vulnerable side, as well as the wounds caused by his religious family shunning him for being gay. Their feelings for each other are strong, but the odds are stacked against them. Hudson kept saying there would be a happy ending, but I don’t think readers quite believed it, and the author did put us through the wringer first.
The whole story is well-written, has interesting insights about the psychological impact of doing porn and blindly pursuing your ambitions, and there are plenty of tender moments, tension, and chemistry between the lovers. The female side characters (Ryan’s friend and sister) are true to life, in their annoying but caring nosiness and interference. The sex scenes serve a purpose in the story development, as well as being smoking hot. :*)  Make sure you have the time to finish, because once you start reading, I guarantee you’ll keeping going till the end of this captivating tale.

I seem to recall reading the first segment and being enthralled though the ending was heartbreaking. Somehow I never completed reading when the second installment posted. I need to correct that oversight. Thanks Tim for the excellent reminder.

Thanks, Aditus, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. It even features a typical Jonah reaction. ;)

Thank you, Gary. I hope you'll read both stories while your shoulder is healing. I think you'll emphasize with Ryan.

  you mean you managed to get past all those hot scenes and never made it to the more-romance-and-less-sex part ? Now I'm really glad my review reminded you of the story.

I skimmed some of the more overtly sexual scenes. Reading just enough to know how hot they were.

Ooops, dugh, that first sentence was a major spoiler :o  You might wanna hide it.

I enjoyed both these stories so much. Really worth the read. Not just the heat factor either. Hudson connects us to her characters and you can’t help but feel the story.

Thank you, Def. Yeah, I think every reader connected to Ryan and Erik within first two or three chapters.
