Weekly Wrap Up (Oct. 25 - Oct. 31)

Well happy Candy Hangover Day!!!

If you partook in Halloween last night that is. I guess all day yesterday I wore a mask a lot of day, but not a scary one ;)

Talking with some friends, they said they bought the same amount of Halloween Candy this year, knowing full well that they would probably have less than 10 percent of the usual trick or treaters. The reason? They felt they could eat all the candy they wanted and not feel guilty and not worry about running out before the end of the night :gikkle: So what about you, any thing special happen last night in your neck of the woods?

For a public service announcement, if you log into GA first thing in the AM and you live in most places in North America or Europe or the spotty areas in the Southern Hemisphere, did you set your clocks back an hour? The falling back of time was always been a favourite holiday of mine when I worked retail. Watching people walk right into the locked glass front doors when they thought it was 8 AM, instead of it actually only being 7 :gikkle:. For that reason alone, I consider it a holiday. Does that make me bad? :P

We had a relatively quiet week here to finish out the month of November here at the GA News Blog.

Monday, Cia was here with the ever popular CSR Discussion Day.

Then a hop, skip, jump and a sashay into Friday, where the latest and hottest thing trending on the Internet launched. We have had 1000's of new members sign up just to participate :P

Then everyday of this week, Old Faithfull (Myr, not the geyser in Yellowstone National Park) provided us with a Word of the Day.

Spoiler

And Myr, if you want to discuss me calling you old, can we do that offline :gikkle:.

And to wrap up my ad lib part of the blog, we will review with our classmates our marks this past week. Pretty darn tooting good I must say.

This year I baked a large batch of chocolate chip cookies, and left a plateful of them inside the front door, just in case any of the local kids were allowed to go trick or treating. I'm not sure whether it was because of the current lockdown, or because of Storm Aidan crossing Ireland yesterday bringing strong winds and heavy rain (probably a combination of both those facts),  but I didn't have a single trick or treater knock on the door. I can't eat all the cookies myself, so will pass the most of them on to a friend who has kids with sweet teeth.

And I'm hoping it was just a typo, otherwise it looks like @wildone may have moved the clocks forwards instead of backwards overnight. And by a whole month as well!

I've decided that we are skipping over November :P That means everyone has 25 days to get my Christmas present :)

The Danish poet Henrik Nordbrandt would approve.  According to his poem from 1986 The year has 16 months: November, December, January, February, March, April, Mey, June, July, August, September, October, November, November, November, November. That's because November in Denmark feels very long, dark and dreary.

Can we just skip 2020 and then maybe this pandemic will have been a dream.
