Hey Luc, I agree with you, it's strange the way memories come back to us. I often find myself wondering how I got from memory A to memory B when there doesn't seem to be a natural progression. Anyway I'm really sorry you lost your guy :( . I hope you're doing well, take care and have a great day.

*holds you close* I think the fact that Mark was firstly your best friend before you became more makes it harder to let go. The love we have for friends runs on a different level and maybe you hae only dealt with losing Mark that was you lover, not losing the part that was the best friend for all those years. You know there is no time limit to grieving, it will take as long as you need it to take. Love you.

Hi Luc,

You are very right about memories being incredibly odd things. I am very sorry to hear about your guy. I don't know exactly what it feels like to loose someone that you obviously loved so much. I did loose my older brother though a few years ago, and while different it's still pretty similar. I completely understand about how random memories will just appear. :) Smile at them, that's the only thing you can do. I had a small break down a few weeks ago and the one memory that kept coming back was of my older brother telling me with a smirk on his face to walk towards him. Me being the 12 yr old idiot did so only to have him laugh and say "I just wanted to see how far I could get a jackass to walk w/o a rope!".

Take Care and I hope your're feeling better soon.:hug::hug:

There's irony for you. You clicked a link and voila; memories. I followed your link to 'bthewriteplace' and had some things I thought I had well and truly buried flung back at me.

Memories are definitely weird, though generally controllable unless you happen to be in a particular frame of mind - another filmic reference!

As to the one who writes life being a 'Drama Queen' I think it more likely it's us, the 'Actors' who are the true drama queens. The script writer is laconic at best. A scene setter.

Selective memory is interesting too. Why do (in my case anyway) a lot of the bad times seemingly vanish? I could probably pull them back if I had too, but generally my memories skip from good time to good time with everything censored out. I say bless the censor.

I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Take care
