Okay, so I was happy up until I went to check my e-mail. I saw that I had recieved a review on my fanfiction which can be found on Adult Fanfiction. It's called A Different Life and is actually very popular.

The way the story is written, it's light, yet with deeper undertones and there are many things that are held back, including what I've been calling the Demon Hunters. It's because I haven't decided what to officially call them, what language to use, and where to let the cat out of the bag.

Anyways, I open the e-mail and this was what I found:

From: Annoyed one. ()

-------------------

-tick in the left eye- Demon hunters!? This is you oh so great name?? Whats

wrong with you bet you call your dog dog or you cat cat think of a damn better

name! There are way to many demon hunters out there if he from a clan or

something give that clan a name then just demon hunter its saying the white

guy comming when there two billion or so white guys around.

Here maybe this will help if you want to stick to just demon hunter.

Original: Demon Hunter

Common: Demon Hunter

Drow: Errdegahr Silinrul

or

the dragon tongue

Common: Demon hunter

Dragon:kothar hunter

*watches good mood die a horrible death* You know, maybe I'm reading it wrong or something, but the way this is written just pushed my buttons. I can take constructive critisism and I can dole it out, but I'm polite about it!

I would have first asked the writer if they were considering using a different name for the demon hunters or not. And if they were, I would suggest a few general ideas. Then I would tell them that, yes, I enjoyed the rest of the story.

I wouldn't nit pick over that one thing and I certainly wouldn't insult the author. It's just plain rude. So, tell me what you think.

not to stereotype... (actually to stereotype extensively)

but let's consider who's probably reading demon slayer or hunter or whatever stories.

90% of the mystical, magic, science fiction type demographic are acne-ridden, athletically challenged, eternally virgin males, yes?

and what do males do? we assert ourselves in all the worst scenarios. anything to show that manliness.

so it's probably not worth your time. if he's that fired up over it, he probably doesn't have a ton to live for, so spare him the rebuttal (buttle?)

Thank you dear for your wonderful words. They helped me gain my good mood back. And with the actual story, it's just a side bit that happens to tie in with the main plot.
