Hey Colin,

not to be a debbie downer, but while it is easy to apply for domestic partnership in CA, you might have to go through a full fledged divorce (buddha forbid that happens to you & Doug).

Vic

Yeah, we know about this part of the CA domestic partner regulations, Vic. Doug and I have talked about this for over a year. If we buy anything together, we're going to a lawyer and have an agreement drawn up. I don't think we'll ever separate, but we want to make sure in advance that we do everything right to take care of any situation that might come up.

There's something else. Now that we're (almost) domestic partners, when we do our 2007 income taxes we'll have to file as single persons for Federal, but as married in California. That should be fun for the TurboTax programmers to figure out!

Im late but... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

You aren't late! I'm in the U.S., and as I write this it's 4:12 p.m. Pacific Standard Time and is still my birthday day, November 21st. My birthday day still has almost 8 hours to go!

Thanks for the congratulations, L0st Cause -- and everyone else who's written!
