Masked Monkey Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 (edited) Does this mean I get to have sex with Snow Dog? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I still don't have the pizza yet :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal P.S. I suppose Dom should take this as a warning as to where the threads will go if he doesn't write more (not to mention Mikie having endless cows and druming his fingers to the nub). Edit: I also believe that lurker is the last person I would have engineer my sex life Edited June 23, 2005 by Snow Dog
lurker Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Edit: I also believe that lurker is the last person I would have engineer my sex life <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You could do worse. Besides, I've been taking lessons... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I
sat8997 Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 not to mention Mikie having endless cows and druming his fingers to the nub Mikie could always use the down time between chapters to do something constructive. Maybe something like learning how to spell whole words. Sharon PS. Sorry - couldn't help myself. That IM/net shorthand speak just seems to pluck my last nerve.
lobaiga Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 That IM/net shorthand speak just seems to pluck my last nerve. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I am with you, as a gen X member I feel like I am pretty tech savvy, but, I also believe I have the basics of whole words, grammar, spelling, etc.......... Maybe I am wrong, but it grates on me when people do not take the time to write in a way that is easy for me to understand. Maybe I am just getting old............ Lore (the fuddy duddy)

sat8997 Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 Did he just call me old ??? You know, I think he did. He couldn't have meant me....I'm pretty sure he meant Lore. Lore, you should probably say something to him. Sharon

sat8997 Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 In Mikie's world, Dom is old. What else would that make us? I'm sure Dom just loves being considered old. He's what, just old enough to drink legally? I don't know what that makes you, but I refuse to be 'old'. And if I could figure out how to translate this into short speak I'd prove it. Sharon
Masked Monkey Posted June 24, 2005 Posted June 24, 2005 ... but I refuse to be 'old' ...Sharon <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just keep telling yourself that, someone might just believe you. :king: Snowy

Mark Arbour Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 Man, first we're talking about old people and now we're anti-semantic. I'm still 23 in my mind (and in the bedroom).
KiercetynQuinn Posted June 29, 2005 Posted June 29, 2005 (edited) One Word: SEQUEL!!! No really, it was a great ending to a great story, though as an avid reader of Dom's stuff since TLW chapter one, I hate to see it go. -Kiercetyn Edited June 29, 2005 by KiercetynQuinn
Guest MonkeysUncle Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Sad to see it end...but nicely wrapped. Dom got to me really care about his characters then made it end. (Bastard!) er...that was meant in the nicest possible way. I'm kinda hoping that Dom might be inspired to revisit the characters in the future if inspired. There was some questions left like "what really happened to Leo?" and "is there really a chance for redemption of the Gordon." I would also enjoy seeing more of the Nicky-Aiden dynamic...those too are great font of potential humor. Mr. Luka left us with Reilly and Adam in a bit of flux as well. Also, I'm curious as to wether the delightly voracious Lacy is ever going to gain weight. Another vein of possible intrigue would be how the cast would deal with the loss of a main character or some similar tragedy. <Sigh.> DomLuka...you rock...you paint delightfully dense characters and make me care about what's gonna happen. p.s. Anti-Semantics
danny_bhoy Posted July 27, 2005 Posted July 27, 2005 Great story..... sad to see it end.... could there be more!!!! you kind of get caught up in the story..... then it ends but I look forward to future Dom works DomLuka rocks.... :king:
Guest MonkeysUncle Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 WARNING -- Thoughtful Snow Dog alert -- WARNINGside effects include headache and nosebleed I thought about this for a bit, as much as I would like to see Owen's story continue, the fact of the matter is that Owen's character reached a point of growth that he had to learn to deal with/accept his parents soon, or he never would. If he didn't come to some sort of terms with the situation, it would start to eat away at his 'new' relationships with friends and family. If Dom hadn't ended it here, he would have to throw new conflict at Owen and his life and relationships would suffer. The happy times in the lives of characters don't often make for great stories, neither do the times of digestion and resting after they finish chewing on a huge chunk of their lives. Dom's analogy in his blog of sending his baby to school is a better one than I think he realizes. He got Owen past a big issue and sent him off to have fun and grow, in raising children one does the same ... get them past the toddler stage and send them off to grow and learn. Dom's made it clear that these characters will be 'around'. Maybe one day Owen will have grown enough to take TLW out of it's 'school days' into 'adolescence and adulthood' (not Owen, the story itself). As it is, I'm happy for both Owen and Dom. Dom, don't worry about loose ends, life is full of them. Thank you for a great story and thank you for not pushing it past a natural conclusion simply because we all didn't want to see an end. :king: Snow Dog the Domaholic Danderthal -- End Thoughtful Snow Dog zone -- <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Snow Dog, You are so erudite, thoughtful, and correct. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh yeah. You go, Dog! 'Uncle
