Gee, pressing reload again and again really does work. I don't know why people say it doesn't. I've been pressing reload every day since TOU14 and hey presto, suddenly TOU15 is right on my screen.

This may be my favourite chapter yet because of the variety of feelings it raised. Quinn getting outed was funny without in any way taking away from his feelings. Great mix of misunderstandings and reactions. I'm surprised Brad didn't drill a hole in the floor to sink through. He's certainly never encountered two men being all hot and sweaty over each other before. He's worried about Quinn. And best friends often don't deal with boyfriends all that well to start with.

Chapter 16 cannot arrive fast enough. I'll go back to pressing the reload button now. It works, I tell you!

Alan, well said on all counts...and I took your suggestion and kept hitting chapter 14 and go to the end and prayed and hoped and yes, it was finally there...

and I agree on the best friend not handling the boyfriend thing well (or girlfriend thing) So, Brad in one night gets told by his best friend whom he knew his whole life that he is Gay and then, um, really has proof and finds out that to borrow a phrase from Ellen DeGeneres when she came out in Time Magazine, that 'yep, I'm Gay' really does apply to Quinn and yep he is Gay and dare I say besides Quinn being cute and sexy himself has a hot boyfriend.....and yes, I do believe Brad is straight....so I am sure he entered and as Kitty said was embarassed and didn't know what to do or say....(and I think that applies for anyone walking into boyfriend/girlfriend or boyfriend/boyfriend or girlfriend/girlfriend).....

so, as you said, where is the refresh button so Chapter 16 Magically appears....and to quote from Lucky Charms (since Chapter 14 and 15 were) we know Chapter 16 will also be Magically Delicious!

'smores please:)

OMFG!! Unbelievable... amazing, intense. What a great chapter! I really agree with you Michael when you said that this story should become a movie or something, I just did say the exact same thing yesterday. As a straight, happily married for 11 years girl, I am so very aware of the fact that gay couples not only don't get to have open, public relationships in the same way that straight couples do, but also that it is not often that you get to be "Jude" and be totally open with everyone and proudly live your life because of the social B.S. that is everywhere. I wish all people gay, straight, bi, whatever, a chance to love and be loved in a way that is true, honest, unconditional, and ... PERFECT. It is only what every human being deserves. Being who you are shouldn't have to be something scary or traumatic, or guilty, it should be peaceful and proud and easy.

And to Dom the amazing man who can seem to capture all of this and put it into terms that any reader can empathize with, understand or relate to, you are without a doubt the voice of reason and hope to many I am certain. Thanks doesn't seem an adequite word, for all your words can only help to make us see that we are all the same in some ways and that makes for a very powerful statement.

Hey Viv,

After reading this article Calif. Anti-Gay Amendment Moves Forward yesterday, I was pretty pissed off that I may loose some rights that my partner and I recently gained here in California.

Not only does this amendment want to ban same-sex marriage, but it would also 'repeal existing protections, and permanently ban the rights and responsibilities currently available to legally registered gay and lesbian domestic partners'.

I'm was pretty down because I'm afraid the amendment will pass, but reading your note does give me hope that 'straight folk' like yourself will vote no against it. :2thumbs:

Take Care,

Vic (with a 'C')

Vic,

Showtime aired a documentary "Same Sex America" and I believe there was a documentary in PBS....a simple demonstration was done by a lesbian couple. In two clear plastic containers they put in rainbow colored cheerios...in one that dealt with civil unions in California, same sex couples received I believe about 15 rights so they put in 15 colored cheerios....in the other plastic container, was the container for all the federal rights that heterosexual couples receive, which adds up to 1, 438 rights.

so much for separate but equal and now they want to take away the 1/10th of rights you receive compared to str8 couples.......

and so much for the Governator saying on hand (on the Tonight Show that he supports same sex marriage) and then saying on Hardball that it will take time, as in several years, before same sex marriage, should be allowed.

However, with straight allies like Viv, we shall overcome:)

NJ has the issue of same sex marriage pending before our state Supreme Court and like California we have domestic partnerships/civil unions...so it will be interesting to see if the issue of same sex marriage prevails. NJ was the state that ruled that the Boy Scouts could don't discriminate against Gays...it was that other Supreme Court that said discrimination was ok.

NJ is a progressive state, but I worry that the Supreme Court, known for its fair and progressive anti discrimination rulings (Gays allowed to adopt, hate crimes not allowed, etc..) will be where they feel the Legislature should decide and throw it to them rather then be bold and brave and rule that our state constitution, which on it faces, appears, in my humble opinion, to ban discrimination in this case, will not rule in favor of same sex marriage.

Vic, I am betting that fair minded Californians will not take away some very basic rights (although in 2000 they amended the state constitution to ban same sex marriage)

The Vivs of the world will stand with us:)

ALWAYS... that's why they keep me around! 0:) And as for rights, I say what about Human Rights? Besides the need for food, clothing, shelter, water, and Dom :read: , we all should get to love and be loved by whomever we want. Like they say, "I love you, man"

Warning: very :off: . Sorry :)

I'm just glad I live in a country that has already legalised same-sex unions (OK it doesn't come into effect until December but the legislation has been passed). The thing that absolutely amazes me is that most (straight) people I have talked to had no idea this legislation had passed! :o

I feel really sorry for all you Americans, especially with a president who is not only as thick as two short planks but is against same-sex unions as well!
