The police in Iowa said that they would have more information on the death of Paul Gray, the bassist and a co-founder of the heavy metal band Slipknot, after an autopsy on Tuesday, but that foul play was not immediately suspected, The Associated Press reported. Mr. Gray, 38, was found dead on Monday at a TownePlace Suites hotel in Johnston, Iowa, north of Des Moines. When I heard about it, I was shocked. Slipknot is one of my favorite bands. Does anyone know how he died?

No cause of death has been released yet. An autopsy has been ordered and we'll probably see something posted later this week or early next.

It's been a bad couple weeks for music. First Ronnie James Dio, And now this. I wonder who's gonna make the third. Bad things always happen in 3's.

While it doesnt really mean anything to me because I never liked slipknot, its always unfortunate when the world loses someone of real talent, musical or otherwise.

 

Thats not to say that it isnt unfortunate when the world loses someone of general abilities either, but you know what I mean.

 

Hopefully his family/close friends etc are doing okay.
