Site Administrator Graeme Posted March 10, 2011 Site Administrator Posted March 10, 2011 Simple Hassan by Jan Vander Laenen Based on one of the Grimm Brother fables :nuke: :nuke: Spoilers Below!!! :nuke: :nuke:
Site Administrator Graeme Posted March 13, 2011 Author Site Administrator Posted March 13, 2011 I think "People Are Complex" would be an equally appropriate theme for this story. The narrator is unfaithful, but when he has the chance to go further with simple Hassan, he turns down the opportunity. Was it guilt, and if so, was it guilt for being unfaithful or for taking advantage of Hassan, or maybe both? As for Hassan, some people are gullible, though not many to that degree. But there are all sorts of people in the world and Hassan is certainly out there. Thanks, Jan!
Dolores Esteban Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 I think the whole story was not very believable. So the story was an arabesque perhaps?
