Weekly Wrap Up (Jan. 18 - Jan. 24)

My secret has been revealed 🕺I did say last week that it might be on site or not. Well it turned out that I knew we were going to announce this year's Anthology Themes 🥳So that was my big secret.

Thanks to our Admin Team who collaborated on discussing many different ideas of the past Anthologies, the number, the wording and the hopeful attraction to every one of our Authors and Poets, new, old and maybe ones that might be inspired that we have not met yet ;).  Consideration was also taken in on past feedback from past participants and even the ones that maybe didn't participate in the past. We also heard people talking about their ideas this year. We will keep those in mind to in trying to appeal to as many of you as possible with also keeping in the mind the readers as well. We hope we have given everyone some food for thought.

I think all of the other Admins hated my suggestions :gikkle: but at least I participated 0:)

You can read more about the final themes in our Anthology Announcement. Even though it was on Thursday, let's put it up first this week!

Now I usually have a bit of a preamble, or as Krista would say, cheekiness 😮 I don't think anyone would accuse me of being cheeky 0:) except her!

With the cold, not only in North America, but I heard some places in Europe and other places are just down right nippy. Enough to make us nipply  Get it :P

We got a good dump or two of snow and some more on the way, then add on the -10 C / 14 F but add in the windchill we got to -20 C / -4 F. How about you? Tell me your woes if you have them.

Anywho, I"m going to wrap up the rest of the week now

Monday, Cia came in and brought us a new Signature Author Feature:

Tuesday was Myr's turn up at bat, when he went diving:

Cia came back on Wednesday to give us a Excerpt from our Signature Feature:

So, how did you do on the Words of the Day?

It's been bitter cold and I've gotten about 8 inches of snow with some areas not very far getting a full foot of snow. The expected low overnight is -4F with wind chill of -20 to -25F. At half past noon its 11F with a wind chill of -4F.  The normal low temp for us on January 25 is 22F.

Well, I believe most of the US is getting their first taste of the winter storm that was predicted.  We've got a nice white icy coating here in Georgia, and I'm sure we're on the luckier end of the spectrum, although it will likely disrupt transportation for a while.  I'm sure there are other areas that are getting hit harder, so let's hear what they have to say about where they're living.

Yep. An hour west, pretty much the same. I’d say between 1/4 and 1/2 inch of ice. Chopped it off the back steps so the dog wouldn’t break a leg going up and down.
