Crappy (in a good way)--but I really need to get to THIS story as well. :P *wishes for more hours in the day, haha. :) If I voted based on NAMES ALONE, I'd vote Dion--'cause it reminds me of mustard--and you gotta love that.

Oh LOL mustard, haha. that is reason enough :P

This story has absolutely opened my eyes to the deaf world. Like, really...I never really thought about deaf people or their perceptions, as close-minded as that is. I think your story is amazing and I love reading it.

:) Thank you so much inuberry! That is like the best compliment I have ever gotten

The next chapter, The Shoulder to Cry on is out now.

Can I change my vote to Dion now? But that letter means something, I know it. But still, Dion has been the sweetest throughout all of these. He never forced Nemo into anything. You gotta love that, right? Gosh, you made me so confused.

**marks down the note: Jian changed his vote from Miles to Dion**

It is possible to change your vote until the poll is closed. I will let you guys know when that is happening ;) Dion is golden inside out

The votes are even now after Jian changed his mind like a woman...

You still have time to vote! Do it now!

Chappy nine is coming soon!

Nooooo I refuse to have an even vote. It HAS to be Dion. Can I make five votes for him... pleeeeze. Although... maybe Dion might be bi and if Nemo doesn't have him that leaves him for me. Meh... he's too young. Ah well Nemo HAS TO HAVE HIM then. *hands on hips*

Chapter 12 Home Sweet Home is out now. It turned out to be a longer time between the last chapters and I apologise for that. I promise to do better with the following chapters.

So, the question is, do you guys want a fast ending for the story or maybe build up tension some more. I have written two different endings. I need your opinnion on this.

Thanx. :) :) :)

I think we need a little more information to make that decision. I want to know who Nemo picks but I dont know if I want it to end too soon. I dont want to feel short changed, if that's so you could just put up a post saying: Dion Wins! or Suprise, Nemo love Miles. I feel like I'm invested in these boys and want to see it play out. I hope this helps. Good chapter!:D

Ok, without revealing Nemo's future boyfriend I am playing with these options:

1. The story will come to a big conflict soon. The situation would build up soon, and would mean large feelings and a possibility of making a WRONG choice - for this story. Nemo is forced to make a decision that will have wide impacts on all the boys. There would be few chapters left. This option would leave an opening for a sequel. I still want a closure for the boys.

2. The story would follow Nemo's summer and how his decisions about future, not just who he wants to be with comes clearer. This would bring the story more to 20-25 chapters in length.

If I had to pick, I think I really want Nemo to end up with Dion. It seems that he has more passion for him, and that Miles could go back to being just a friend.

Thank you for your opinion :) Nemo sure does have passion for Dion. :music: But will that be enough?

Thank you for leaving a comment and enjoying my work  It means so much to hear that people like it.

I have not lost my interest, but I was struggling a bit with other issues. Now I am posting regularly again :)

Tricky tricky little Maria, I really dont want Nemo to make the wrong decision with the hope that there is a sequel down the road. Just the right amount of conflict is needed to make a good story great but the decision we make always changes the story dynamics.

Following Nemo through his summer and his decision of where he's going to go to school and who he picks just feels right. This has that Summer love kind of feel and getting wrapped up past the summer might tarnish some of the young love feeling.

But still the big elephant in the room: Who does Nemo pick---and whoever it is, does he still want Nemo? Feelings are hurting all around. Nobody likes being placed on the side while someone decides if they want you or not.

I can't wait to see what happens.:2thumbs:

I am definitely team Miles. I love the idea of him being with the best friend he's in love with. In plus, he couldn't even go that far with Dion because he kept thinking it wasn't Miles. That should tell you something, aye?

:) Team Miles, whohoo :)

It is time to start wrapping the story up. Only a few more chapters to go. :(

I do not know whether your vote thing is still up. But well even if it is, I do not have one :)

I wanted to say something about the story in general. I confess it's been a while since I read it but I really liked the portrayal of our Deaf world. I grew Deaf in my late teens and unfortunately in a country where by that time teachers still clung to the idea of Oralism (we were not allowed to sign during the lessons at the school for the Deaf I attended) and neither were there such camps as the one Nemo participates in, so I was pretty much on my own (my family still doesn't sign so that sort of put us apart). A great many people when they write about young ones losing their hearing either create a total recluse, let them have a Cochlear Implant right away (I have none and neither do I want one) or basically state how miserable life has to be

with such a "handicap". I loved that you don't do it. Nemo starts off naturally - I don't know anyone who hasn't in the beginning tried to hiode their hearing loss - and then came to an environment with people like Dion and Sandra wjo clearly know a thing or too about the Deaf, and help him accept and maybe even develop this new identity. I was slightly thrilled by the fact that Miles is so accepting, because at first ist seemed to me like a cliche since a lot of hearing people think life would just go on and you would neither lose friends, relationships nor jobs or whatever. But I really like the fact he is learning how to sign and understand this new world Nemo is entering into. Not many people to that but the way you do it with this character is very credible, to me.

Ok, so I've been totally addicted to this story since I first started reading it, and then it seemed to stumble and fall. I hope the fall has been to that ever-annoying interruption of 'real life', and that said interruption has also now smoothed out your own path on it (walking without tripping is nice, lol ;)).

Look forward to seeing where the story progresses... and as to whether it should be Dion or Miles... that's too much of a loaded question, as we don't really know enough about Dion. He's definitely been the sweetest out of them, and I imagine that he's harbouring some dark secret that makes him 'wounded' as well; can two 'woundeds' make a right? Or does it take someone like Miles, who's willing to push through the barriers? Only you can tell us... and we can only hope you will.

Cheers,

seraph74 :)
