What are your traditions in your home or land?

I travel and love to learn how other people and other places celebrate life. I live in the U.S. So our Holiday traditions are pretty widely known. I'd particularly like to know how the summertime countries celebrate Christmas and the new year. And of course if your holidays are not Christmas but some other event then please, share your celebrations with us.

 

If you have a unique tradition in your home for the holidays I'd love to hear about it whether you are from the U.S. or somewhere else.
