MrM Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 ~hits meditation bell~ I flew back from a place I felt like I belonged to a place where I no longer belonged. I had tears in my eyes. It was Late October. https://www.youtube.com/watch?list=LL6W10c3O3SOoCrMuuVKqG5w&v=8WGx5z9wVNY Prompt: Option 1: In light of this bittersweet instrumental by Harold Budd and Brain Eno: What does this piece evoke in you or inspire in you that might be a story? Option 2: Do you have a story where you took a trip somewhere that you came to feel that you belonged only to have to return back to a place you felt you no longer did belong? Why did you feel you needed to go? What problem did you seek to resolve? What were the bittersweet feelings that you had upon making this trip? I bid you peace. ~hits meditation bell~
JamesSavik Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Autumn in Eden It was late October And the world was a little slower And the jack-o-lanterns smiled without mirth. Life was a little easier As we drank the new wine And we talked about the frost upon the earth. Things we couldn't say Stayed between us as we lay Examining our souls for purity and worth. We were found wanting, Not knowing what we wanted Banished from that place to roam the earth. We know the mark of Cain. We know that special pain. We have seen Eden's glade. If only we knew, we had it made. 2
